getting 20+ possessions and kicking goals. Has been solid

He has been good for you guys. He is resurrecting his career somewhat and providing the young blues players with an experienced head. good on him. Still wouldn't be in the Crows best 30 in his current form for you guys.

Danger doesn't suit our game plan anyway, I'd rather Milera Menzel and Gore.

Our plan isn't built on having one star player. We've played 3 games now & performed in all of them without having a true stand out midfielder. Everyone needs to play their role.

Notice our mids/wingers are getting 15-25 disposals now however the hurt factor and metres gained would be higher than previous years, we're more direct and efficient.

We don't have a barometer anymore and that's a great thing, it means the team will develop quicker and if somebody has a bad day it won't effect is as much in the past.

Our next few games are massive.

Syd, Hawks, Freo, Dogs, Geelong & Gold Coast.

Does anyone have another harder 6 games in a row?
Nope, I love it and I hope the players welcome it, it will bring us up to speed quickly. If we are to become what we're aiming for, we need to win the majority of the next six games, no more mediocrity!

We didn't make a mistake trading out Kerridge and Wright. They're only best 22 at Carlton because Carlton's list is awful. They wouldn't get a game for us now or at any point in the future. Kerridge would be behind 28+ players. Wright would be behind 35+ players.

What I love is that it then makes it hard for an opposition to decide who to target and stop. It is the same up with our forwards as well. Which forward/midfielder do you concentrate on to stop/restrict their possessions? And then contrast that with our run out of the backlines - Smith or Laird? Oh hang on Brown is now running more offensively too and Hartigan and Cheney and Atkins and Seedsman are dropping back deep into defense to also provide run.

Kerridge I think adds experience. Cool head
Matt Wright another than adds bit of dash
Both proven can get the ball and kick goals regularly

Matt Wright just needed a run at another club, and proven that that is the case

Just be kind everyone, this poster has been trolling/hating the Crows since early last year on the main board. I think its clear their intention of this thread.

I had an opinion last years ago Crows would finish bottom due to the distractions of a few contracts with Sloan, Tex Walker and Danger
was wrong but contracts at other clubs have proven distractions

So you wouldn't trade them for Sauce, Menzel and Betts? Good to hear.

Matt Wright isn't AFL standard. He had one good year at the Crows in 2014, when the whole club was looking incredible and perhaps he was just a downhill skier. He looks okay in a Carlton squad because Carlton has a below average list, their place on the ladder reflects that.

No, he needed a run at Carlton.

Kerridge to Carlton has been a win win. I'm happy that we made that trade for all parties.

Wright also deserved another Crack.
I'll be happy for both guys if they have longer careers.

Wayne Milera is a good prospect. Seniors might be too much at times for rookie players. Wins on the board not doing his case any harm but from what I've seen few games in the 2's won't do the kid harm. Not sure why you think it's trolling
aha are you serious. we lack outside skill/pace/class. he delivers that big time. not the highest disposal getter obviously, hes only 3 games in and plays predominantly outside/forward but i cant see him getting dropped..... pretty much ever again. he will be rising star within the next two weeks and one of the top candidates to win.

To answer the OP, we have a couple of more maturish players that have been serviceable that we can use in the midfield area if others get worn down. Besides the guys you mentioned there is Lyons, CEY, Hendo, VB and Grigg. Then you have Knight who isnt mature, but was more than serviceable in the few games he played last year. Then you have left field in Beech, big body, football smarts and Otten as well who in the past played a midfield-ish role but who we don't know how well he'll go after his second recon. We are pretty happy with our depth.

So what is your reason for predicting we will be finishing low this year?

Still think pies, port, tigers & freo will all be above us & we will easily be out of finals contention...

except his possessions are absolutely useless. always has been half good at fantasy tho. hes a decent pickup if youre in desperate need of midfielders and small forwards though. we just didnt need him at all and had way more talent in both inside mid and forward. hes basically an extremely poor mans robbie gray. homeless man's even

That was 2015 season
2016 before R1 I had Crows finishing between 7-11. I'll stay with that right now as still soo much to play out, but good start to season

I think Danger is a bit of a loss but good editions should help cover that loss as the season goes on

Have you even watched any Carlton matches this year?

This year on the predictions thread you have us in 11th - below pies, tigers, freo & port.

Still comfortable with your prediction?

Well that was at the start of R1. Still plenty to play out. Crows are 2-1 so are Port and Tigers and Pies are 1-2. Dockers have big match this week

So you still think we will be 11th?

So who have port & the tigers beaten?

Reckon you will be as accurate as last year's prediction. ;)

Do you understand we are only 3 Rounds into a 23 Round Home and Away Season

Tigers always start slow and Fremantle can bounce back. Pies I don't think will play finals. Right now I'm thinking Crows 7-10. My opinion changes weekly
