Does anyone else find it odd how soon as Taz no longer plays for Collingwood, they bring in this new rule where defenders basically can't even touch the forwards?

i dont find it odd, i just find it a bit stupid, afl is turning into netball. now everytime jimmy clement does his usual fend off and mark it will result in a free kick

Just another forwards over defenders decision.
You can put your hands in the back of an opponent without pushing them. How are you supposed to stand your ground now, it will be like a soccer heading/arial contest, however even those contests will be tougher.

STOP THE PRESSES! The totally unbiased Kevin Bartlett who's on the rules committee says it's not a rule change, it's an interpretation change. Same crap different words.

might not be the case but it sure feels like it... how many frees would taz have got if this rule was in place 2006 season?

Freemantle are due for a premiership, how can the AFL give them a helping hand?

also predict lloyd to have a ripper year in 2007, for the bumers.

It is a disgrace seeing someone do it over and over, but it is more of a disgrace that the sport is turning more and more into a sissy game.

BTW - I don't find it odd re:Taz issue.
