Had planned to go to Sydney with a few friends but was soon told that I was expected to work, so that went out the window pretty quickly.

Most overrated night of the year IMO. Always overhyped and invariably underdelivers.

I'll probably be asleep, only to be woken by some drunken slob banging pots and pans and blowing a car horn and then delivering a pizza top in my driveway.

And then I'll spend the next day washing my car and cursing about young people and realising that I have become my father. Shocking time of year.

Xmas is at my sister in law's place this year. It is going to be a big day this Christmas. I have got all my rellies coming from all over the country.
