The problem is that Abbott is too gutless to overturn the pro union legislation so they allow business to import cheap labour, student thing saves them having to pay for unis etc from taxes. Again because Abbott is too gutless to cut spending.

How so? They would both be on a massive package courtesy of taxpayers with free travel and other perks. Ditto the fool Swan who left us with a bill of hundreds of billions whilst he has a massive super pot. A grade campaigner.
Obviously you don't follow Tony Abbott's stewardship of the country to make to idiotic claims.

nice cheerleading. She still has her nose firmly in the trough. That isn't a claim. That is a fact. Ditto Wayne Swan. Whilst we have to pay off hundreds of billions of debt, they live it up. And you cheer this. Irrational.

Don't think so - it's a Journal Article but if it's also a PHD thesis it's not mentioned as far as I could see.

Ever so believable.

Greece has stunned the financial markets by announcing that its economy grew by 0.8% in the three months leading up to the crisis that forced the government in Athens to close the banks and introduce capital controls.

Figures from Greece’s statistical agency ELSTAT showed that the country grew more strongly between April and June than the UK, which advanced by 0.7%, even though the last few weeks of the quarter in Greece were dominated by reports of money leaving the country and fears of a debt default.

We were jumping on guys in the middle of the night, all of that. Swooping down on folks all across the country, using these sorts of attack tactics that we went out on, that you would use in Vietnam, or some kind of war-torn zone. All of the stuff that we were doing, just calling it the war on drugs. And there wasn’t very many black guys in my position.

So when I would go into the war room, where we were setting up all of our drug and gun and addiction task force determining what cities we were going to hit, I would notice that most of the time it always appeared to be urban areas.

That’s when I asked the question, well, don’t they sell drugs out in Potomac and Springfield, and places like that? Maybe you all think they don’t, but statistics show they use more drugs out in those areas than anywhere. The special agent in charge, he says ‘You know, if we go out there and start messing with those folks, they know judges, they know lawyers, they know politicians. You start locking their kids up; somebody’s going to jerk our chain.’ He said, ‘they’re going to call us on it, and before you know it, they’re going to shut us down, and there goes your overtime.’”

Fogg also discussed race more explicitly, but admitted that the drug war was something that affected people of all races, although African-American communities were targeted disproportionately.

He continued,

What I began to see is that the drug war is totally about race. If we were locking up everybody, white and black, for doing the same drugs, they would have done the same thing they did with prohibition.

They would have outlawed it. They would have said, ‘Let’s stop this craziness. You’re not putting my son in jail. My daughter isn’t going to jail.’

If it was an equal enforcement opportunity operation, we wouldn’t be sitting here anyway. It’s all about fairness, man. And understanding ‘How would I want to be treated?’ Whether I’m on the one end or the other end. How would I be treated if everything was done equally?”

"The tale of a legendary Nazi ghost train carrying gold which allegedly disappeared without trace in the dying days of the Second World War has taken a new twist.

According to local media reports, two claimants - a Pole and a German - say they have found a 500-foot long “armoured train” with gun platforms and a cargo of “precious metals”, inside a collapsed, Nazi era tunnel.

The claim was lodged because under Polish law treasure finders can keep 10 per cent of the value of their find."

Centrelink Secret Breaching Triggered Death Toll

The Australian Government is liable for Centrelink Breaches and has covered up death figures.
.
The problem is getting worse in Australia with a Government Committee amending the Social Security Legislation of January 2015 to give Private Companies the power to remove Job Seeker payments with No Appeal rights: http://www.aph.gov.au/Parliamentary_Business/Bills_LEGislation/Bills_Search_Results/Result?bId=r5344
.
This comes after responsibility for the Remote Jobs and Communities Program was transferred to the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet on 18 September 2013: http://employment.gov.au/remote-jobs-and-communities-program

Below is Ronald Medlicott's information describing the situation on the 10th of Aug 2010

.
Centrelinks Secret Breaching Triggered Death Toll ▼
.
On May 10th 2010, a senior Centrelink official admitted the obvious, i.e. that Centrelink had never reported breaching triggered fatalities. 3 weeks later, the Employment Minister denied that post breaching terminal outcomes had ever occurred.
.
I have 2 suppression orders issued by 2 Senate committees that bar me from distributing documents about these deaths, including the refusal of the Federal Police to investigate these deaths.
.
Since deaths occurred in event state and territory, the federal Police should have investigated in their own 'backyard', the ACT, but they have refused to do so and their letter is now confidential.
----------------------------------
.
On 8th May 2013 a welfare recipient who had been prosecuted by Centrelink fought back and the high Court tossed out legislation that had no means.
.
► Omitting to inform Centrelink of Changes • Court has ruled that prosecutors cannot use the legislation retrospectively http://www.abc.net.au/news/2013-05-08/high-court-to-consider-welfare-fraud-laws/4676454
.
Some 15,000 prosecutions dating back to 2000 are now legally invalid.
.
This means that by not paying them, welfare recipients will one day SUE and at the moment the legal liability is about $1 Trillion for the 'Breached Generation".

http://www.theguardian.com/australi...-religious-instruction-from-school-curriculum

Religious instruction will be scrapped from the curriculum of Victorian schools from next year and replaced with education about building respectful relationships, the government announced on Friday.

The new relationships education program will be taught by qualified teachers and aims to help children understand global cultures and traditions, recognise and prevent family violence, and appreciate and understand diversity.

Special religious instruction, currently taught during school hours by volunteers, will be moved out of regular class times, freeing 30 minutes a week for the new program.

Good on them for ditching religion from school. Not a huge fan of the replacement subject though. Seems like the sort of subject that sounds good in theory, but might not be so great in practice.

It's the kind of subject that I've been calling out for for years, but I agree in practice there may be some difficulties. It definitely won't be easy to teach.

This has started to do the rounds on media and several church spokespeople have reacted predictably, claiming this will ruin moral education for kids ant the like:

http://www.9news.com.au/national/20...ur-of-lessons-on-domestic-violence-prevention

The Victorian government has announced plans to replace special religious instruction classes in schools with lessons on domestic violence and healthy relationships.

Personally I think this is a good change. Religion as a topic should be about the HISTORY of religions, not focused on just one and its ways and how to be one (Catholic in this case)

I don't have a problem with 20% of primary school kids no longer being taught religious studies. I do have a problem with 100% of kids being taught Cultural Marxism.

The new relationships education program will be taught by qualified teachers and aims to help children understand global cultures and traditions, recognise and prevent family violence, and appreciate and understand diversity.

Children should not be given an uncritical view of global cultures and traditions regardless of those culture's values, such as those society's prevalence for democracy, family violence and tolerance of diversity etc.

Western traditions that have enabled our modern lifestyle should be emphasised. We should recognise the concepts we value such as : personal liberty, free contract, jury trials, uncensored newspapers, regular elections, habeas corpus, open competition, secure property, religious pluralism.
