About time....

The club was a joke regardless of their performances, they had as much substance to their team as dry wall
I suggest you go back about four or five seasons and see the intent of the competition when it was created... because, although it might surprise you, but it wasn't created so that idiots could shoot insults at each other. The Mod Squad were just five years behind...

... As is my computer's posting capabilities on Bigfooty... I would psot more but I get tired of waiting.

yeah my computer's a pain too ...

One of the biggest issues is that it can't open the three big Sweet FA Stats excel files I have. They comprise every match stat up to whenever I finished updating it, and can be sorted/shunted to report ANYTHING ... longest streaks, games-record holders, record scores for any one quarter, everything. You could put in two teams and it'd spit back everything about those two teams' history against one another.

There are 3 files : Match data input, EveryGameEverPlayed and EveryPlayerWhoPlayedTheGame ... I'm really spewin' I can't open them now (crappy 2nd-hand laptop now) ... as it would be great to update it.

yeah a very good point there tarks but how good are the Wonders, they have been going since the comp started in 2001. What a team
Albeit not exactly the same club ... as they were originally the "Seventh Wonders".

They were the final sign-up to the inaugural season.

Actually Mt Buller are probably older because they came out of Team Pump, which was already signed onto the Sweet FA before EKA got the Wonders together.

sounds like there should be some form of rivalry match between the two sides considering they are the oldest teams
Demons riivals, at least while I was at the club, where traditionally the Hawks (played out about five one goal games ... plus that team lodging incident) and the Wonders...

Rivalries are vary scarce at the moment. The Bombers have a sort of rivalry against the Hawks and against the Wonders but they're probably the strongest in the league. The Gumbies and the Demons did a little bit last year but just because they were the 2 worst teams. They're nothing like Thunder v Mariners.

I tried to get the Demons and the Gumbies to start a bit of a rivalry but noone was really interested. Still fired a few people up though. The Bombers Hawks rivalry would probably be our biggest now, but I think the Dragons and Bombers will get into it once the real stuff starts, as they look like the two most active teams at this point.

Trivial. Clubs can't just say "we have a rivalry," it's something that is built up because of certain attributes or history between particular teams. The Demons have lost two former club captains, and as I mentioned before, had that string of narrow games but they won't be considered rivals because of the infusion of newbies that don't know or care about the traditions and heritage of the competition.

Hawks/Bombers are probably modern day rivals in the ilk of Sydney/West Coast, the two clubs are considered the league powerhouses.... but things like these change... unless something continues between the clubs, it won't be considered a rivalry.

The RFFL nurtures rivalries... again, it's just a difference in the leagues... but it's no stretch to say that Falcons/Knights, Mariners/Thunder, Slammers/Mariners, Thunder/Falcons and Thunder/Cougars can be considered rivalries.

a) Bombers and Hawks are the powerhouses? Haven't the Furies won 2 of the last 3 flags or something similar? I would have thought they were the powerhouse. (damn them to hell)

b) Rivalry Shmivalry. Mt Buller v WCW Heritage Round!!!! :thumbsu: Team Pump colours v Seventh Wonders guernseys!! :thumbsu: :footy:

Boncer leaving has heated up the Hawks v Bombers matches as does us beating them in the grand final 2 seasons ago when they'd belted us 2 times in the previous month. Also the Bombers made a play for you and you turned us down for the Hawks.

Our rivalry with the Wonders is with myself and HawkPatrol having both started our careers there, Kerrby's wall of shame for Bombers players, Boncer antagonising them when he was still with us, Pacemaker being a little bitch in our thread(:D), a few of our players similarly in theirs.

The biggest rivalry in the league though IMO is a player rivalry between Kerrby and Peterss.

Meh, the Furies have won 2 of 3 but they sort of just plod along in the league and a lot of their players don't have much to say on the board outside of their match thread.

yep i like it

in 2010 have 2 rivalry/heritage rounds, perhaps in round 7 and 14 or round 1 and 8 assuming its a 14 round season

Bombers vs Hawks (for some reason its a rirvalry) (so called powerhouses)
mt buller vs wonders (to oldest sides in SFA)
Not sure of the rivalrys between geelong, furies, fiztroy, dragons
