AFL Club
Adelaide
vs Carlton (MCG)
vs Gold Coast (AO)
vs Fremantle (Pattersons)
vs North Melb (AO)
vs Essendon (ES)

All against mid-tier teams, no top 4 sides. No excuses this is it.

Even in our best form you would take 4-1 from these 5 games, the loss being vs Freo away

Being 8-5 or 8-4 wouldn't even cement our top 8 spot at this point given the next games are seriously tough

vs Port (AO)
vs GWS (Gliderol)
vs Hawthorn (AO)
vs Collingwood (MCG)

Run home is a bit easier though...we need to have won atleast 10 games at this point before we play the following -

vs West Coast (AO)
vs Brisbane (Gabba)
vs Richmond (AO)
vs North Melb (Tas)
vs St Kilda (AO)

also depeding where we are at on the ladder we seriously need to think about giving Jacobs a rest for either the Bris game or Nth game in Tas

I saw someone say rest him vs Freo.

Not that stupid tbh. Concede it and rove off Sandi.

Out of that break down I can see us winning 3-2-3 which will give us 12 wins and sneak us into the bottom of the 8 :)

The losses being Freo, North (twice), Port, Hawks and WC...but we may even pinch a few of these

We have one good game and all is forgiven?

We lost to Melbourne the other week... I think our form is a week to week proposition. I'm hoping we turned the corner against the pies but I'll wait and see who shows up against Carlton before I declare wins.

Also, think you're seriously underrating Gold Coast - that's a 50/50 proposition IMO

Must win (If we're to play finals)
vs Carlton (MCG)

Plus one of thses.

I love these threads.

Agreed though, if we're any good (and we give a shit) we should win 4 of our next 5.

I think we are working on the old Seinfeld Theory - everything evens out in the end.

We lose to Melbourne at home, we have a victory for the ages against Collingwood.

Perhaps we're planning to throw the game against Carlton so we can win the Showdown.

It is also quite possible that we will lose the next 5 games, none of them are as certain as the win over Melbourne. Sunday will tell us exactly where we stand. If we lose this match then it will be a long, long, long season.

If we seriously want to play finals we need to win more than one of the bottom 6 games. If we can't then why bother trying.

need atleast 13 wins to scrape into the 8...14 wins would do it...i reckon its' going to be so tight that even 15 wins might snag 4th spot.

agree its the old cliche one week at a time..but us fans can look at where we're at

vs Geelong, Sydney, Port (How many expected us to win these anyway? maybe the showdown was 50/50)

its really only the Melb game where we've underperformed, pretty much 1 half of football, where i might add we lost Lynch to a broken jaw and Jeansch in the first qrter and were down to 2 on the bench for the rest of the game

If we're going to be rubbish, I'd rather us be rubbish enough to get a decent draft pick, then a kick in the arse over summer and a clear understanding from everyone at the club that we've got a mission in 2015, and I sure as hell don't mean mission statement.

It's not just losing those 3 games, but we definitely underperformed (in that we were smashed.)

what a game this week though Yarran/Garlett vs Betts/Cameron.....
Danger/Sloane vs Murphy/Gibbs

Melbourne will be wet on Sunday...can anyone dig up Carlton record of late at the G?...they've played alot at Etihad in perfect conditions

They are 0-4 at the MCG this year, losses to Richmond, Essendon, Melbourne and Collingwood.

They are 3-1 at Etihad.
