Forget the close losses.
Here is our chance.

Must win the away game against the Dockers, & if we can snag 5 of 6, or 4 at worst, we then front up to Geelong but then 3 more games that are all winnable.

Finals here we come.:thumbsu:

Every side at some stage makes there run to the finals, I hope that our close loss to ladder leaders Saints inspires a Bulldogs like surge in the upcoming weeks (much like their thriller V the Cats).

Break the remaining games up into two groups, and its certainly easy to envision that we could win 3 of the next 5, and 3 of the last 5. Even if we only win 2 from one of these blocks, our percentage should get us over the line.

Put simply, we would have to take a massive backward step to not make 8th spot at least this year. Im more excited about our next 3 games - we are a big chance to win all 3, and with that kind of momentum (3 in a row, 5 of our last 6) who knows how far we can take things...

Far be it from any of us to get too cocky, but if can't get at least 4 wins there and be at the very least 10-8 after then we probably don't deserve to be in the finals.

Dons - have the wood on us and will have played the week before so won't be "asleep" as we were vs Lions in the "bye" round for the Vics game last year.
Freo at Freo. Who knows? Depends on which version of either side turns up. Tipsters nightmare..........when was the last time we beat Freo at Subi? :(

If we are to be a top 8 side, and maybe even top 6, we should start with winning games against good sides. Beating the Swans down here is a must, as much for the psyche of our group as anything. Should have done it last year, but must be done this year or our season may well come unstuck.

Pies - hopefully we can continue our good run against them, and if we are coming off a good win vs swans we are every chance to. Pies will be backing up from playing the Hawks, who by that stage should be as unsociable as ever and the PIes may well be a little worse for wear.

Roos - time to put this one to rest. Going into this round they have won as many Q's of footy as the TIges and Dees. Time to kill the Roos!

IF we come back switched on and IF we reproduce the same intensity and quality as we did Friday vs Saints we could win all 6, and be 12 and 6, entrenched in the top 4 needing only 2-3 wins from the last 4 to get the double chance.

OUr season has not been so consistent though, and to be honest, I'd rather not be having a week off, and bring on the Dons this week while we are going pretty well.

I fear any result from 6-0 to 2-4 from that group. Definately make or break.:thumbsu:

Totall agree with your summation here BB (Congrats on the new baby bear too btw:thumbsu:), but that game of Friday night was so physically demanding for our younger players that I feel they need a break, especially our backline group. They were so resilient and yet so knackered after the game.

I don't want to see us play Lloyd and Lucas back into form (am sick of us doing that:mad:) with our backline already physically spent before the game. Let's hit them fresh and hopefully a bit cocky if they beat the Demons well.

A case can certainly be put forward for us winning all 6 of those games.

No reason why we can't at least go close in each of them.

If we don't win 4 or more of them I'll be disappointed. 3 and 3 is average but not the end of the world as we'll be 9/9 needing to at least split our remaining 4 games.

Anything under 3 wins from the next 6 games would be a disaster and we'll be making it almost impossible for ourselves to make the 8.

On a serious note, we can definately win the next 6 if we play footy like we did on Friday night.

Our first half of the year has been up and down. We really should've beaten Essendon and Fremantle but that is in the past now. We have a real chance to propel ourselves into the the top four over the next 6 weeks.

They are all danger games but they are all winnable games, if we bring our A game.

There's no reason at all why we couldn't win 5 out of the next 6, even 4 out of the next 6 would be great, given our percentage, and the teams we play in the last month of the season.

If we can apply ourselves like we did against the Saints, then we could get on quite a roll. We want to play finals this year, and we really should just have a real red hot go over the next 6 weeks.
