I'd like to keep this thread updated throughout the season, so I would appreciate it if those who receive the St Kilda facebook news updates could check to make sure this thread is updated with the news as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance.

can you please sticky it and it will be easier to keep it updated.

There is already a permanent link to this thread in the stickied thread: Board Rules and links to 2010 perpetual threads so that I didn't have to sticky this thread and every other perpetual thread. That was the whole idea of that thread; to minimise the number of threads that are stickied and yet still have the advantage of rapid access to threads we want to continually update or use as reference.

Well just got back from training, thought I'd do a bit of a report.

Got there at 1:45, most of the boys were already out there and doing the goof-around warm-up thing. McEvoy and Stanley were partnering each other tapping a ball around, Walsh was getting one-on-one kicking lessons with one of the coaches, Montagna appeared to be giving Armitage some roving pointers and there were the usual smattering of handball drills and players running laps.

Pretty sure I made a sighting of the rare Nicholas Winmar, doing some laps. However he didn't take part in training.

No sign of Lenny, Bakes or Milne, and I'm pretty sure Steven wasn't out there either. Raph emerged 45 minutes into training to do a little handball work with a coach. Koschitzke, Big Fish and Schneider only ran laps.

First time I've seen Gardiner do a full training session, he only ran laps and did ruckwork the few sessions I made it to last year. Good to see Robert Eddy out there, doing a full session too. He might not be that far away.

Ross the Boss was in attendance, but SOS seemed to be the main one in charge. After the laps and stretches, players took part in a handball drill. When that was over, Ross spoke to the players, even those not fully training.

Another handball drill and some kicking drills. A strong southerly wind made life interesting in the kicking drills. Walsh's kicking is coming along, but still has some distance to go, especially under pressure.

The players split into three groups. In front of me looked like the forwards, Riewoldt, Stanley, Heyne, McQualter, Lynch and A. Smith who were practicing leading. Riewoldt easily turned Stanley inside out again and again, and when Roo was doing the kicking, Stanley shredded his much shorter opponents.

As always, training petered out rather than came to an abrupt end. Players started to make their way up the race, some stayed on the ground for further work. Tommy Walsh was back doing one-on-one with a coach at the far end of the ground.

Was particularly impressed with Mini, whenever a drinks break was called he practiced his shots at goal instead.

Re: Saints injury list after round 4

Are there any open training sessions? Might need to get down and see who's doing what.
There's one today, at 2:00 I believe
