I rekon it would be good for some of the guys confidence if we won

I don't care if the guy was going to be the best player ever, I would never want us to tank.

Yep - just not the essendon way. Let the cards fall as they will. I seriously doubt we are going to have to worry about winning too many games anyway

This is just like 2006. We struggled then, but our Dons supporters always stuck by us. And the crowds kept comin. I was happy when I was able to go to the Lions game to break the drought of not winning.

Sadly I haven't been able to go this year.

People talk about developing youngsters and "play the kids at all costs" but how good can it be for them if they go through a whole season without tastin victory. So far this year, none of our debutants (and we have had 5) have been involved in a victory. How good is it for them if they develop through a losing environment?

I`m worried we might pinch this one. Not happy. Natanui/Rich. Don`t ____ it up Essendon.

Congratulations on proving you aren't a true Essendon supporter.

Kindly bugger off and 'support' some other team; there's no room for your type around here. :thumbsd:

son, i`ve seen more Essendon games than you`ve had hot dinners, you can not beat the system, you have to work it.

7th ? 8th ? 9th? 10th? 11th? etc,etc,wasteland....do it now before the gold coast comes in.

Winning one game here and there won't get us out of the bottom 3 or 4.

But if you want Myers, Pears, Jetta ect to keep ecperiencing defeat after defeat, then i guess it's your prerogative

Yeah, that's right, aren't you the guy who keeps posting that Kevin Sheedy ruined our list and that Tim Watson and James Hird weren't anywhere near as good as most Essendon supporters reckon? You might think you've seen more Essendon games than I have (which I doubt is true, anyway) - but, given some of the crap you post, your support for the red and black seems questionable at best.

Now is not the time to win. Went to Adelaide last week, did you venture over Cab ? Was very impressed with the effort, showed alot of heart, would have been very annoyed if we had got up. What good would it have done us ?
I bleed Essendon, I breathe Essendon, I also see the big picture cabby.

Poor attitude. This team is rubbish enough to keep us in the bottom 2. Our draw isnt that 'tough' over the next 11 weeks. We'd have to play very poorly to finish with less than 5 wins. Very good chance to beat the rabble out west. We might be favourites next week:D:o

You've got a funny way of showing it. If all of the above is true, then you should be even more ashamed of yourself for opening up a pathetic thread like this. Take your love of mediocrity to the Richmond or Carlton board if you must, but don't ask true Essendon fans to indulge such spineless crap.

Oh, and you're no older than me for all your bluster, btw. And, given I live well outside of Melbourne, I've got little doubt that I regularly travel to more Essendon games than you do, since you ask.

cabby, I never said I was older than you brother , was that the competition ?. I live and breathe Essendon son , it`s inked on the skin, it`s on Napier Street on a plaque, it`s on the hundreds and thousands I`ve given hand over fist to the little souvenier shop that was behind the Napier Street end, the countless training nights, the 20+ scrap books, the grass from the `93 grand final. next time you "fly in" kiddo, you can buy me a drink and we can talk about all those games you`ve watched on t.v.

cabby, I never said I

You said you wanted Essendon to lose, and to keep losing for the foreseeable future.

Which is a sad reflection on you - and any loyalty you might want to protest you have to the club.

Plain and simple, it's really poor form. :thumbsd:

So who says that Rich at number two is a shoe in to be better than who we may pick at number three or four ?
Lets face it the best young player in the game today , Buddy , was passed over at pick one, two, three and four. Rich goes very well but the last champ game proved that without the allstar midfield he played in last year and a solid tag he is not over the line as being the next Chris Judd or Garry Ablet jnr.
We dont need to tank any games. We simply have to make sure we get 3 out of 4 or 4 out of 5 picks right in each of the next two drafts. The difference between picking at 2 or 4 will not make any difference.

Last chance before the gold coast go bang bang bang............

Well we will just wait and see what happens with the GC. Yes it will make things slightly harder but there is nothing totally frim in place yet say says the GC will get all the decent picks.
We will finish bottom 4 or 5 in the next two seasons so we simply have to make sure that we get a decent percentage of the draft picks right.
