Luke Shackleton was BOG again for Willy. Even though I haven't been a rap for him I admit you've got to give a guy a go if he performs consistently.

Time to unshackle the Shack.

(Also good to see H Shaw amongst the best players)

And I'd also promote D Swan.

Yes As the Season is Definately over, We must give the younger polayers more time in the Seniors and As Luke shackleton has been in the best for the last 6 weeks and was BOG for Willy yesterday, he should be in the team.

This is what i would like to Happen:

IN: Swan, Tarrant, Shackleton

OUT: Davis, Shaw (Give him some game time PLEASE!), And somebody but i can't thinkof anyone.

This is what i think will happen:

IN: Tarrant, O'Bree, Shackleton (Well atleast i hope to god Shacks is in,lol)

OUT: Davis, Shaw, McGough

McGough, when given time on the ground is a ball magnet, and should not be dropped but i think he will be.

Finals are over. Time to send some messages. Losing 2 in a row is not acceptable. I'd look at the outs first and then find replacements. It's time to get serious though.
Out: Davis, Lokan, Shaw, Fraser, Didak.
In: Tarrant (picks himself), Shak (deserves a chance but I am skeptical), Swan (showed some form at times so lets have another look), H Shaw (just to have a look at him after a decent game at Willi), Mullins or Maxwell (same deal as Swan).

Next week find a spot for whichever of Mullins or Maxwell that doesn’t get the gig this week.

If Fraser stars he comes straight back in if not he plays a month at Willi. This guy has talent and I'm sure he tries but does he have a sense or urgency? Try him at CHB. Ditto Didak, but play him on the ball for 4 hard quarters and run him into the ground. Tarrant will come into the side and I'd try him on a wing. I'd try Lonie on the other wing. We desperately need to develop a more flexible lineup.

Some interesting moves there Mark. Even though I disagree with Tarrant on the wing I totally agree with the fact that we need to become more flexible. I think giving Didak a run in the middle is a great idea. As I have said before I think we tend to get a little too defensive in the middle and Didak may change this. If he doesnt...try something else.

As for Fraser, it astounds me that MM feels the need to get him in the game all the time!! If he is not playing well TAKE HIM OFF!!

Against Melbourne I thought Richards was playing well against White and the points were fairly even. Fraser was getting towelled by Rivers so what does MM do?? Tries to get Fraser in the game by putting him in the ruck where he proceeds to get smashed and as a result so do the Pies!! Extremely Frustrating.

In terms of Rhyce I think he needs to either leave him on and let him run or drop him. Lokan is providing an option and could become a pretty handy third forward. Neon has to go!!!!

I had Didak in the middle - at Willi.

Honestly, this bloke needs rocket up his clacker. he has to be told in no uncertain terms that he ahs to make an impact m,ost weeks and get possessions every week as well as ensure his man does not run off him. Not sometimes, every quarter, every week for 10 years. I just don't think he gets it.

leon, lokan, mcgough, lonie, and rhyce are all skating some very thin ice, so is didak which is very disappointing to see
i think:
IN. tarrant, shackleton, swan/o'bree
OUT. lokan davis lonie

there wont be too many changes as they havent conceded the season completely, but expect shak to get a game and possibly swan get another crack

im sick of seeing lokan doing not much in a game and same with lonie, they both need to go back to Willy and find some form

o'bree will be playing for his future in next 9 weeks so will get a crack when fit

id give didak another crack but am getting sick of him never bringing his A game to the table, willy could be a go if we loose to Hawks

mcgough is a good young player, so is rhyce and if MM gave them some game time that is meaningful, they could go a long way

just give them a crack mIck

We are playing reasonably well against good sides. What message are you going to send? We buggered up the first third of the season so we are dropping you now?

No way I'd drop Fraser and no way I'd play H Shaw until he strung a few more games together. Dropping Didak is an interesting one - I'd probably go along with that.

And Tarrant belongs in the forward line, not on the wing where his physical strength in one on one marking contests would be wasted.

That only excellence is acceptable and losing/non performance of individuals (within the context of the appointed roles) endangers careers. For 2 years we've had some unmovables in the side. We have little depth and frankly I thin k some of the players have fallen for the comfort zone mentality. I'm sure it is subconscious but they do need a shake up IMO.

More like we've lost patience with you because you are capable of better and we demand it of you. The bottom line is the guys that have played have only been good enough to win 4 games. That isn't acceptable. At the end of the seaon a few players must go. We need to determine who so we need to play more players and we need to see how some more senior players respond.

Fair enough. We disagree. For mine these guys are just the start. O'Bree ahs to earn hos spot back. Holland needs to do better. Lonie needs to do more. J. Cloke is on notice.

If we can;t make the finlas does it really matter if tarrant isn't really a wingman and we find that out over the next month or so? The bottom line is we can't win a premiership unless we improve the list AND have a fair bit more flexibility with the list we have. We have some decent forward prospects and some more in the wings. Lets see what else we can do with some of our players.

Agree re O'Bree
Disagree re Holland - been good since coming back from suspension - only played two games and has been solid.
Lonie is better than he was in 2003 but nowhere near what he''s capable of
Agree re J Cloke. Forgot about him. I'd consider dropping him this week for Walker.

The other tall who's been getting a bit of it lately for Willy is Rowe. Wouldn't be surprised to see him get a run before season's end.

Holland has kicked goals every week since he has come back, if I'm not mistaken. I reckon he has done very well since returning.

I think Shack will get a chance this week.

Re Brodie:

I agree he has done ok or even well. He's done that before though. Basically I think he is a waist of talent. He is at the crossroads right now. He has to get a massive sense of urgency about his career. I would like to unsettle him a bot and let him know there are young players after his spot in the team and on the list. he isn;t too bright so it can't be too subtle.
