Renouf gets Susan from me ... after Susan Rossiter - Peacock- Sangster, - Renouf. Renouf was her last hubby.

If you were around in the 70's, 80's and first half of the 90's you know who I'm talking about. I always liked the joke about how she could write a book and call it - how to make a million with only one ........

The other famous Renouf was the rugby league great for the Brisbane Broncos, Queensland and Australian rep centre player Steve Renouf. So if he is any good he gets Steve or Steve Renoufs nickname The Pearl.... sometimes it was The Black Pearl.

The Pearl was the name of great biography about Renouf written by John Harms.

His nickname is Twister from his Hawthorn days I believe. Not sure why though.

Re: Marketing the recruits, especially Brad Ebert

Anyone know Brads nickname from his Magpies and WCE days ? Although I'm sure it will be something non inspiring like Braddo or Eebs.

Thought of while I was drifting off to sleep the other night:

Ebret and Ebert, respectively.

Simple. Subtle. Shove it up your ass.

So we've agreed on Ebret and Ebert?

Finally got around to watching the port v crows nab cup replay.

Glen Jakovich reckons Ah Chee is very popular character down at the club and the boys have niced named him Libba - as in Libba ah chee - the entertainer - whose name was spelt Liberace.

A great nickname by the boys - probably one of the old guys who volunteer their services came up with that. I think Ah Chee has the double studs.

For those younger posters , who might have no idea who Liberace was, he a very flamboyant singer/pianist/entertainer both on and off the stage.

He was as camp as a row of tents, yet in the mid 1950's successfully sued The Daily Mirror in the UK for implying he was homosexual. He won the libel case and told reporters he "cried all the way to the bank" - which became his catch phrase.

If Ah Chee embraces it we might see some outrageous outfits at the Power Goes events.

Since nobody has come up with a non-megaghey nickname for Sam Colquhoun yet ('Sammy C'? Ugh), I propose that we invoke the surname equivalent of 'Bobby Carlile' and start calling him Smith.
