Schultz got called play on in the first too. So like most calls there'll be variations in umpiring.I don’t mind the new rule requiring the player to stay on the mark. But I think that in itself is enough of an advantage. What I don’t like is the failure of the adjudicators to call play on when the ball carrier is off his line.
They actually called it against Petracca so it’s being called. As with all things, needs more consistency.
The more latitude they give the person who's taken the mark, the more attacking they can be though.
