Jenny your way off base here, of course it's like maternity leave, he won't be able to complete his role for a period of time, no one is suggesting hiring someone full time, because we all know if he can get back he will and everyone will welcome him with open arms. All we are aski is they get someone to COVER him while he is off. We all understand his plight at the moment.But what message does that send to Bails? "your at least a year out mate, we'll get someone in just in case you don't make it". Replacing someone on maternity leave is quite different to "replacing" someone receiving treatment for cancer. And I do get where you are all coming from, but you've got to stop looking at this as a business decision. They are dealing with a guy here that is fighting for his life. You do anything you can to give him a reason to fight. Not fill his position before they even know the prognosis after treatment.
