It's good that the drugs and bogans are mostly in specific areas. Nice and easily avoidable . Unless you want to catch a bus in the middle of town. Then the bogans are unavoidable.

you reckon its that bad? i remember growing up ( i live just near old footscray swimming pool, seddon side) and there used to be people shooting up all the time when i was playing football on the street etc.. but now its fully cleaned up and I dont really see anything anymore.. when i go into footscray you see a few of the druggy type.. but pretty much if you don't go inside the footscray shop area you don't really see any drug stuff.

I was partially joking. You're mostly right, although middle Footscray is still a fair junkies paradise (as is Scumshine), the outskirts like Footscray West, Seddon, hell even Tottenham are downright yuppie.

To be honest apart from your Toorak's, Brighton's etc...everywhere has their share of bogans and sad types..
Crazy people live on the riverbank or under the bridges in my small city.. and drugs are simply everywhere...
These problems sadly don't stop at the tram tracks...
