While I'm happy for Tasmanians who have always wanted their own AFL club, the 19th team is going to make that even worse. 22/18 = 1.2, so every other club will have to play another one or two players every week who would otherwise not get a game if Tassie is not introduced.

Imagine if we got rid of some clubs and brought the competition back from 18 to 14 teams. (22 x 4) / 14 = 6.3, so on average each of the remaining clubs could replace their 6 worst players with better ones. We can dream.
