“Didn’t want to leave the house”, LOL, no self awareness at all. He was out constantly on the gear. Good luck to him, but being a bit of a cry baby blaming others when he was happy to post his comings and goings onto social media.
Yeah. Who gives a damn? He's done it all to himself and we're supposed to feel interested or sorry?

GWS and Gold Coast both going well this season. Finals looming. Sunny afternoon at Giants Stadium. About 12 people there

I know the northern expansion clubs were a long term project but it doesn't seem like there has been much local buy in with the Giants, even after 15 years or however long it's been

Gold Coast maybe a bit better? But it's hard to tell as it seems that lots of their crowd are opposition supporters up there for a winter holiday weekend

I wish him the best, was in the process of throwing it all away and checked himself into detox. Hope it sticks and he keeps away from those dead$hit mates. But mianing about baking himself a story is a bit much. He got it much easier from the media than Oliver.

He said in the article he was depressed and used "getting on the gear" as an escape

Calling him a cry baby is pathetic.

Short term it’s about broadcast rights, big crowds would be generational. Also Suns’ travelling supporters would add SFA to the crowd.

Who is he blaming in that article Mutineer posted but himself?
If anything he is taking ownership of his situation.

The toxic Footy media has spun him into some sort of drug fueled burn out.

The reality is more likely he felt over burdened as a kid with a lot of responsibility and found it easier to use illicit drugs instead of asking for help.

I took that mantra of huge ins and outs with me to the game and it clearly worked a treat. 👍🏻 Port's depth is substandard.

My take from live-viewing the game

Port

The big three...

Butters isn't as damaging as he should be for the amount of ball he gets. Too much show pony not enough real substance. Some 30 touches for not enough impact.

Rozee in his 'new' role is an unaccountable stats padder. Like Butters, also not as damaging as he should be for the amount of ball he gets.

JHF had an off game by his standards but is a beast lb for lb (only oldies will understand what lb is) his strength reminds me of younger Dangerfield only he's more skilled than danger. Must've had an off day because I only noticed him bullocking in the packs, not for his usual breakaway bursts. Loved his get-ball-kick-goal in the goal square 'right in front of me'. A no nonsense dynamo when he's up and going.

The rest ...
Hot garbage. Port's list is shit. Depth is nonexistent. Rioli's eaten too many pies. There are too many no-names who wouldn't get a game in most other AFL teams... and it's delicious!

Swans

The lizard, Heeney, Grundy(BOG for mine) turned up every time when needed. Way too good for anything Port had.

Armarty did this on purpose just to troll us Crows. Bastard!

I don't know what the pressure acts stats say but it felt like Sydney were manic. Always seem to outnumber and out grapple Port.

Reading the comments in here about it being a terrible game was puzzling because it looked ok to me. Fast as. Some huge body clashes. Some of Swans' kicking and marking was fantastic.

Understatement- structure is so important. Both Amarty and Papley back, weren't at their best but made Sydney a way better side by just being there.

Will go again to the next Port home game. Port Carlton LOL. As someone said on here it's a win win when either loses.🤣

Their crowds haven't improved much

That said, GWS get around 8k at home against Gold Coast on average

North Melbourne, an established Victoria team, are lucky to get double that at the Docklands against Gold Coast

Tye media were a lot easier on him than Oliver, the AFL protected him very well. There was bugger all stuff that came out except for official statements from Dogs and JUH’s own posts. You’d be right normally, but not in this instance.

I hope JUH gets the help he needs. I just hope he doesn't bail on his club. I'm all for taking time off but not into examples of mental health issues leading to players walking to a club of their choice while their former club gets unders. A player like that shouldn't go for anything less than 2 firsts because you know he'll dominate once he gets his house in order.

In fairness, they have been set up to fail. As a club, they’re supposed to be drawing their supporters from Western Sydney, but for a large majority of people in that area, the ground is an hour or two away.

I'm at the ground now...I swear I experienced more atmosphere in the old Sydney Football League.
