Whelp ... early days, but Port are looking at bottom 4. An omen for a good year.

Its a balancing act this year though with cochrane there for them. Finish bottom 3 and they might get him AND another top 4 rated kid and we don't want that. Better for them to win enogh games to finish 12th or 13th so they will burn their draft collateral matching cochrane and not get that extra top line junior. Just my thoughts

Amazing to think that we still can't get a single stand alone prime time fixture for the Showdown, but we get this sh!t week after week.

Collingwood are also about to fall off that cliff too.

They can't just hang their hats on Geelong and Hawthorn for another 20 years.

The Butters one is funny, they are convinced they are gonna get multiple top 5 picks for him. Not gonna happen.

Bulldogs won't have a top 5 pick, would be pretty hard for them to get hold of two of them. This is the last draft before Tas come in, no one is going to want to be trading out of it, everyone will be holding their picks.

Power should have traded him last year, big mistake.

I was at a Christening yesterday with my port loving (watching the game during the service) family (who cause me A LOT of grief growing up and are partly to blame for my hatred of all things PAFC). I checked out the scores in the first quarter and thought "whatever" I wish we were playing WC....

It wasnt until my cousin came up to me and asked if I was going to give them cr@p for their 2 point loss that I found out what happened...

So, what actually happened??? How did it happen?? Was it a final minute scrap??

The chances West Coast squandered in the 3rd quarter, they should have had the game over at 3/4 time and then won by 8 goals.

Essendon, West Coast (think they will fade late in the season), Richmond, Carlton/North/Port Power/Melbourne. Hopefully they finish 7th last so they get a higher pick. Probably will force a trade and get 2026 (late), 2027 (will be early 2nd rounder after the draft concession) and 2028 1st rounders (late) from the Bulldogs instead of FA pick 8 then they need to match the Cochrane bid with pick 7 and late 1st rounder. Pilot will be even harder to match in 2027 with the draft concession, the AFL really stuffed them at the right time for us lol.

Why? I used it to take any accusation of personal bias out of the equation. It’s not like those teams are markedly different from the teams most experts would pick given those eras.

If I picked it myself you’d be saying I picked one team deliberately stronger.
