Keep in my on Friday we had over 90,000 either in isolation or Covid positive. Also I know a few older people that are choosing not to go at the moment.

I think that accounted for a few thousand at our game last week. The easing of rules should help

Disagree, the social aspect of being at the game and having a beer/chat with mates is still great.
Correct.

The game actually becomes the backdrop.

When I go to games with mates, we have a great dinner beforehand and drinks post game. Going to the game is an excuse.

Going to the footy was an uninterrupted habit for many people. The thought of not going regularly didn't enter the discussion because it had never been taken away. A lot of people now realise it's a bloody expensive exercise, and they don't need to go every single week. If you get a chunk of fans that used to go to every game now only go to 5 games a year, spread it across the season, it makes a difference to the weekly crowds. Most of it is economic - if the disposable income isn't there, things are sacrificed. Combine that with the actual quality of the sport declining.

I think there’re a couple of pieces missing.
