I still would've taken us finishing 9th in a heartbeat in the pre-season given we were widely tipped to be spoon contenders.

What has happened to Nikki and TSR? Haven't been on BF in over a year after being regular posters

My conspiracy theory was that Nikki got a gig in the women’s program at the club. Coached and/or competed in gymnastics at a really high level, played/coached chick’s footy before there was AFLW and I think maybe umpired as well.

She was part of the muffin brigade and I once mentioned it in a reply to allefbig and his response all but confirmed it. Or at least she was going through a process.

Could be rubbish though, but she’d have certainly had the history that you’d want when starting up a program from scratch.

Haha, but to be fair, both clubs have interstate supporters who might want to travel to Vic, and they probably don't mind having more oppo supporters to boost the gate takings. I think all clubs would be wanting to make it easier for their supporters to travel but yes, especially the non-Vic clubs.

Has it really "won", though? It's not looking like the games they are scheduling in prime time are all actual ratings blockbusters.

It’s the principle that there will be more value in the rights. Dilutes the value of club sponsorship and gate takings and further centralises the game’s revenues. It’s been mission 1 for 2 decades and more. It’s all about control.

Allefgib? He didn’t originally leave entirely, pretty sure he disappeared for a year or so and then posted a couple of times and then vanished. But I reckon he was posting after nicki left.

West Coast have Port's 2nd rounder (currently #23). Think they need it!

Even better, Richmond have North's 2nd rounder (currently #19)... so the AFL likely to compensate North & give them another one.

WCE doing their 1 year tank for a top 1 or 2 pick only to br back in finals the year after routine

West Coast currently have pick 2 - and it seems that would be their area of the draft this year

Looking at what WC do - which is set themselves up for a good pick - I noticed this player

Busy he said. But it is a bit weird that of all the muffin and crowcast people only Fenix remains a consistent, albeit not voluminous, contributor. It’s like they ascended a higher plain and couldn’t deal with the lessers having an opinion. Like whatsisname I referred to the other day but can’t recall his name.
