Scenario 2: free kick not paid, wave your arms about = nothing to see here.

Why is 1 worse than 2?

Because in scenario 1 the players is questioning the umpires decision.
Whereas in scenario 2 the player is questioning ….. oh

I’ve also seen players who have won the free kick then gesture to the umpire that the player on the mark is moving and a 50m should be rewarded. Do they then need to reverse the free kick?
Remember Keays did it quite a bit one time, limbs everywhere.

2 is persuasion, 1 is frustration. No umpire ever changes their mind after the whistle blows

Not to say 1 is a justified free

Disagree. They’re the same. Disgruntlement with an umpire decision and letting him know about it. It’s the same thing.

Because the whistle was blown, play stopped, the camera is focused on the incident and the player dares incite people to question the dear leaders whistle blowing

Whereas no one can see the dissent when play moves on

That’s literally the reason, that people can see you disputing more easily. It’s that cynical

Depends. There's plenty of times you see someone waving their hands to try to convince the umpire. Sometimes successfully. When the carry on keeps going, sure that's just frustration
