Alot of talk about the Collingwood role players and bringing in Hill, Mcstay, Frampton and Mitchell.

They need alot of credit for that but for me it's still about your best players. Collingwood don't win a premiership without Daicos, Geelong without Dangerfield, Melbourne without Pettacca, Richmond without Martin.

For me it's still all about the elite talent. Not a Big Footy definition of elite but a top half a dozen player in the comp.

You're right. We've at least got Dawson now and I think it's hard to argue that he won't be in that category by the end of next season given he only played midfield for the first time this year. We need another Dawson quality player

You have players wanting to come to Collingwood and you get most of your games each year at home further bolstering the desire of players to play there.

Collingwood go down with 5 minutes to go and DeGoey and Sidebottom slot goals from 55. Can’t imagine many Crows players doing that…

Bobby Hill had a great game but doubt it will become the norm.

This is a side that dominated most stats and won a game by less than a kick.

Reckon they have the same fate as Hawthorn of 2015 and Geelong of last year. Other than 2021, they have been up there since 2018. We shall see. The hunter becomes the hunted.

Predicting someone will be premiers or make a GF this far out is clutching. I think they will be very competitive again and with the number of MCG games they have, should finish top 4 and anything can happen from there
