The rumour about Fyfe being very unpopular with his teammates is nothing new. I'm sceptical as to the legitimacy though.

Its a rumour that keeps popping up though and from multiple different sources. Add it into the other stuff you hear of people who've met him and think hes a douchebag and you can see some validity to this.

I think in this case where there is smoke, there is fire.

I saw that footage of him in the rooms at half time during a game, trying to tell Zac Clarke what to do, and Clarke just kind of walked away from him, and didn't even take notice of him. Then he's almost yelling at a group of players about what they should be doing. I know he's a gun player, but I'm sure his team mates don't appreciate being "coached" by one of their peers, who isn't out there with them.

He comes across as a massive flog, so good on Ballentyne and whoever else calls him out, and doesn't want to put up with his shit.

If this talk of player unrest, and Fyfe wanting to explore his options. Do you reckon there's any chance he bails at the end of this season?? What's the point in staying for another year, when they are going to be shit again, and he's just wasting a year he could be playing for a better side??

Obviously that would hurt Freo more, if he left while he was still contracted, but F7 doesn't seem to care about things that aren't to do with F7 (Honestly, what sort of flog has his own brand, and then wears said brand on themselves?. I know some Freo supporters that want him gone now if he isn't committed to the club. It would be a huge loss and they would basically be starting from scratch again.

You could argue it would hurt Freo more if he left next year as he will be a free agent and the most they will get is one first rounder.

If he leaves this year they could squeeze his preferred club for all they've got.

Would be very Judd-esque if he did leave. Things turn to shit at the club, best player bails. I don't actually believe Judd "bailed" on us, but I was pissed at the time when he left, feeling like he just walked out when things got tough. After reading his book, and the fact he told the eagles recrcuiters to not select him, as he'd go home to Vic as soon as his initial contract was up, I sort of understood his decision, He signed on for a few more years than he originally thought, helped us to a flag, then left. It was just shitty timing.

Now that has nothing to do with Fyfe, but it would be as big a story if he does leave this off season, as Judd's departure was 10 years ago

Not that many of the best players in the comp get talked about all that positively from people who aren't in the industry. It's always "saw Player X out, what a dick." May be different in Perth with a greater relative number knowing him better than that though.

Spoke with someone who worked inside Freo's media department. Had nothing but praise for Pav and most players, but had the opposite to say about Fyfe.

F7 and his interviews with Channel 7 and all the other innuendo probably tells you that's not just remours.
