I was being a bit facetious.

I think Collingwood have the resources to turn their high picks into good players and to get their draft selections mostly correct in the first place.

They do bare some resemblance to each other though. Melbourne lost seasoned veterans like James McDonald, Brad Green, Cameron Bruce etc in a short turn around whilst the Pies lost a plethora of that seasoned group including guys like Presti, Lockyer, Tarrant, OBree, Medhurst, Anthony, we're all gone by 2010.

Sure, they may not have been 'best 22' but removing one and replacing them with mere kids is what has tortured both clubs in list management since.

A mate has just posted that Ben cousins just got arrested in his street on top of a 2 story house........interesting to see if it is a look-alike or breaking story.

I thought he was in a mental hospital?

As I mentioned, the only thing holding back the pies is the forward planning of aplomb KPP's. I quite like the actual make up of there somewhat undeveloped list.

What's not to like about Scharenberg, N.Freeman, Broomhead, Kennedy, deGoey, Seedsman and Langdon?

Better to be young with promise than reliable and been around the block eh?

Collingwood is going nowhere fast.

I heard he went inside the Sikh temple in Canning Vale and was taking photos. Then he went outside and got into and out of his car a number of times before attempting to enter the house next door (probably the house you mentioned) at which point the cops were called and he was taken off for another mental health assessment. It's just beyond sad now.

Yeah that's similar to what he saw.

Don't play with my heart!
watched both very closely through U/18s, both have very similar body types, both got a beautiful left foot and can play in any position, Langdon will rotate through the guts with Cooney, I can guarantee it, my rising star choice

I still think the talk about the quality of Collingwood's kids misses the point.

If you were anyone other than Eddie McGuire, would you have signed Buckley knowing that the personality flaws he had has a player and captain would result in a clean out premiership stars and premature aborting of era during which flags should have been the only priority?

The problem with Collingwood is that they are so good at managing the media that those sycophantic flogs are not shining the harshest of spotlights onto Buckley (like they did to Mark Neeld).

You'd certainly hope that Buckley has been able to bring in good kids because it is quality premiership players that he's lost in the process. At least when we did it, it was because the salary cap was mismanaged.

Why would you ever say that?

May he forever keep them mid table and useless.

Better to be genuinely incompetent than knowingly, agreed.

I think people forget how damn good that team looked prior to the last round of 2011.

Collingwood's aura disappeared completely at some point in 2013, really. But it didn't really fully hit home for me until I saw us utterly dismantle them in Round 17 last year. What a sweet, sweet day that was.

Absolutely nothing short of a premiership with Buckley at the helm will convince me that however it came about, Collingwood doing what they did was the right move.

Whether Malthouse only started coaching well knowing it was coming to an end blah blah blah, it is incredible that they ultimately end up FORCING him out when that team was looking nigh on unstoppable (and despite all the distractions of the coaching drama, still only lost the flag in a single quarter to one of the great sides of the modern era, also the only team to beat them in what was a very impressive season).

NORTH MELBOURNE WILL BE PREMIERS IN 2015, JUST YOU WAIT AND SEE!
