GCS are probably my favourite team to watch.

Was just coming online to post this exact thought.. what a difference from the crap we (and most other teams) put up.. fast, exciting and skilful.

Oh and I think it is safe to say the monster has been unleashed.. GC looking good across the board now.. going to take some stopping this year, let alone the next five.

Ahhhh talent envy

God this is the kind of flat track bullying I wish we were capable of against lesser sides.

I have a feeling there is going to be quite a few players that will be made available once GA signs his next contract.

Not sure.. I could see Ablett staying on similar coin in order to win another Premiership with that group.. and captain the winning side/hold the cup.

Will be interesting to watch.. but they have enough talent they can probably lose a few and still field a decent side.

Prestia, O'Meara, Swallow, Ablett, Bennell... better than the 'Fab 4'.. imho.. going to be unstoppable..

Of course it's better than the "Fab 4" because there are 5 of them.

Did anyone hear the commentators go on about the low hit on Rewoldt? The Suns player did the exact same action as Hannebery but collected Rew's leg as his head wasn't in the way like Hurleys.

]But my point is if a plugger lockett or jason dunstall, were to arrive today, would they actually make it to the top level? or be weeded out becasue they can't (or wont) tow their defensive duties. How many gun players may the game be missing because they dont have the aerobic ability or body size to be up and down the ground like a machine?
I don't think we're "mission out" on these players really, they just don't exist any more because of how the game's changed.
we dont need a gimmick like bonus points.
This I agree with however.

Did Barry Hall just say 'destroyation'?

heck me

No, Gerard Healy did.

'He kicks a chaos ball forward, Ablett gets it, FROM THE PAINT!!! THAT'S CRAZY GOOD!!!, THIS IS A DESTROYATION'

Anyone else the feeling that the way the fixture is set up these days that it could encourage tanking to take place? If your sitting 12th on the ladder with a couple of rounds to go and no hope of breaking into the 8 it would be beneficial to lose the last few and drop back into the bottom 6 and receive a much easier draw the following season.

Apologies if this has been mentioned elsewhere

No it was like the Winderlich situation - Player diving at the legs too get the ball - And Riewoldt didn't receive a free kick.

i preferred the tradition of the old one
The old one (last few years) wasn't much chop either.

I liked the late 90s one best.

Tackling the important issues here.

Chalk this one up in the 'who cares' pile I suppose- but I really don't like the MCG siren now.
You know the story behind it don't you?

They have changed from an analogue siren to a digital one and they are experimenting to get it as close to the sound of the analogue one. It sounds like shit at the ground - unless you are there when it sounds to signal the end of the game and the start of the Richmond meltdown, that's fun.
