That McGlynn "goal" was a bit odd.
Would've liked cricketing "spirit" used; he essentially admitted that there was a knick, like a batsman would if caught behind.
That the benefactor himself didn't celebrate/appeal should be enough for the umpires to give it a behind.

He thought it was touched. There's a differenceMcGlynn told the umpire it wasn't a goal. How much more conclusive do you want?
Or, you know, cameras that cover angles needed to call contentious goals. Not just bullshit TV replaysCant the AFL afford some super slo mo cameras? Would solve for pretty much all 'touched or not' calls
Did some campaigner whack Gunston off the ball? oh actually whats it matter they wont get sighted anyway
I thought that it was weird that he made a point of bring it to the umpire's attention. At least that's what the commentators said.
BT: "Smith on his wrong left side". Smith's a left footer you ******* idiot
can get done if you're doing the blocking more than 5 meters from the ball, or more likely, if the blocked opponent was deemed to be making a run at contesting the ruckI didn't know blocking at a stoppage was illegal?
Fair call, but 2 metres in front of where it was contested?can get done if you're doing the blocking more than 5 meters from the ball, or more likely, if the blocked opponent was deemed to be making a run at contesting the ruck
