On another note, both of these teams are susceptible to three talls in the forwardline.

And speaking of shit umpiring, even McGlynn saying "that was touched" wasn't enough for them to work out how wrong that was.

That McGlynn "goal" was a bit odd.

Would've liked cricketing "spirit" used; he essentially admitted that there was a knick, like a batsman would if caught behind.

That the benefactor himself didn't celebrate/appeal should be enough for the umpires to give it a behind.

So you can conclusively say from that vision that it was touched? ******* hell Ben

McGlynn told the umpire it wasn't a goal. How much more conclusive do you want?

He told the umpire, then apologised to Gibson after they still ****ed it up.

Hill took players on, gets brought down in tackle, releases 3 seconds later. Goal to Roughead. But sure, the umpiring is biased towards Sydney

Quite frankly, don't bother with these reviews, because the vision like the one on the McGlynn goal is as clear as we're going to get, so if we STILL can't tell (I thought it was pretty obvious it was touched), then stop wasting everyone's time.

Did some campaigner whack Gunston off the ball? oh actually whats it matter they wont get sighted anyway

Cant the AFL afford some super slo mo cameras? Would solve for pretty much all 'touched or not' calls
Or, you know, cameras that cover angles needed to call contentious goals. Not just bullshit TV replays

I thought that it was weird that he made a point of bring it to the umpire's attention. At least that's what the commentators said.

I reckon that's what they normally do. The umpires do make a note for the MRP.

can get done if you're doing the blocking more than 5 meters from the ball, or more likely, if the blocked opponent was deemed to be making a run at contesting the ruck
Fair call, but 2 metres in front of where it was contested?
