STEP 1: Lack of footballing ability
That's the general consensus in our house

An umpire is someone who fancied himself as a footballer until disillusionment stepped in and he was made to realise he was just shit at the game.

Therefore the only way to have any bearing on the game was to become an umpire

Umpires had a shocker in the Freo and Geelong games. No surprise that Adelaide lost because they lack consistency and don't have adequate defensive structures. Though Geelong was solid but North was disappointing. Think North's list is over-rated.

Funny isn't it when there are too many variables required to fall in your favour for you to play well you're just not that good.

It is much the same as us.

also what brisbane do with their ruckmen at the end of the season will be fascinating

You'd trade Leuenberger, wouldn't you?

It's an interesting point, you'd get a hell of a lot for him, and Martin is only a marginal downgrade in this form.

Depends, if the Berger shows ability inside forward 50 in the last month they'll probably keep both and have West 3rd in line. Fantastic depth.

Freo's got a few young rucks as well as Sandi, Griffin and Clarke, so it'd be a bold list management move. Would probably involve trading Griffin and a Hannath type as well as marginalising Clarke for the rest of Sandi's career.

Yeah probably. He's better than Martin but I don't really think Brisbane should think in those terms if they decide to trade one of them, both are fine but L'Berger should get the better return and that should be Brisbane's prime concern. I think if both of them want to stay in Brisbane, the exodus last year will come into play and Brisbnae wont go down that road. Loyalty etc. But gee, if trading L'Berger could help get that blue chip KPP prospect...

And on the flipside, if they both stay, we get to watch them try to juggle that ruck pairing which will also be interesting

They've only got Sandilands, Griffin, Clarke, Hannath and Moller...
Sandi doesn't have long left; Griffin meh; Clarke's decent but Leuey's an upgrade; NFI who Moller is.

I forgot about Hannath though, he does look decent.

If it means trading Griffen I'd be all over that, would slot straight into 3rd ruck and be able to put pressure on best 22

What about the other WA club?

Cox will be done, the verdict's still out on NicNat, Lycett's still developing.

As is Sinclair, but yes, it could work. West Coast do have a pretty good haul of KPP - whether they'd be willing to give any of them up is another matter.
