Yep, once again I don't give a single shit about the AFL apart from Essendon. The Premier League is just an all round better league to follow.

How? In a league where money is the deciding factor and the teams not named Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City might as well not exist.

It's a tad different in that each season presents opportunities for a number of different trophies.

Tottenham, Aston Villa, Birmingham, Cardiff, Everton, Wigan (!), Portsmouth all won or made the final of the FA Cup or League Cup in the last decade. Their fans would've enjoyed themselves more than half the fans of clubs in the AFL in the same time frame. Should those clubs exist?

I guess it's not something that can be explained to people with that opinion. Sure there are those 5 main title contenders, but what about clubs like Tottenham and Everton who have hope every year of pushing into the top 4, clubs like Southampton, Stoke, Crystal Palace and West Ham who are going places. You have the thrilling relegation races. You just go on a never-ending journey with your club and the league as a whole. It never stops because there is the 9 month season followed by 3 months of non stop transfer rumours and movement. It just is so much better than the AFL.

It also isn't as clear cut as you say. Newly-promoted Leicester City beat Manchester United 5-3. Stoke thrashed us 6-1. :(

Hull City as well.

89 point winners over Sydney.

Hawthorn are on a different level aren't they.

40 percent in front of Sydney.
Don't get to watch them that much but they were awesome against the Crows. But we managed to beat them and then break even at half time in our recent match in our dishevelled state. The vagaries.

Five clubs have won the league in 23 years, and only 3 in 11 years.
Wasn't talking about winning the title, I was replying to the bit saying the other clubs might as well not exist. Leicester beat United 5-3, Stoke beat Liverpool 6-1, Newcastle beat the seemingly invincible Chelsea 2-1. The poorest team Burnley beat the richest in Man City.

The bigger clubs aren't invincible. The other clubs have plenty of worth.

Yeah, we've got a salary cap to stop that...hang on

Is there anything more nauseating than countless Hawthorn supporters sharing/liking countless FB links about how great Hawthorn are? It's a relief there's plenty on at the moment to distract from footy.

Going against the Essendon grain but I want the Hawks to go back to back to back.
...why?

I don't care who beats them or how, but I'll take anything over a Hawthorn three-peat. The most nauseatingly arrogant bunch of supporters* I've ever come across.

*not all of them, of course. But enough of them to make them very, very objectionable.

So, despite your comment you don't care who beats them would you rather see Sydney win? I hate Sydney. If anyone other than us I'd like to see Freo win

Brisbane are generating chances and getting their hands on it, but they're so wasteful with their disposal.
