It's everything I hate about afl analysis in two words. A non descript, blanket term that doesn't actually paint a picture of anything specific.

'If Talia and Lever are injured, Adelaide won't have as many key defenders as they would if they weren't'

'Big call by you Richo'

I'll be honest this game has been ruined by Luke Darcy. I hate that prick. Same old bullshit quotes 'Superstar!' & 'Love the way he goes about it!' And let's not for the over use of 'courageous' when describing a guy playing with a ****ed hip flexor. GET ****ED DARCY YOU ANNOYING campaigner!!!!!!!

Awesome. Hawks and Crows knocked out is the perfect result for me this weekend.

I want whoever wins the Dogs v Giants prelim to take the flag. Will be pissed if its Cats or Swans, they've had their time.

I don't want the swans to even make it. Something about them just annoys me. Only time I have enjoyed watching them was when they beat the hawks in '12.

I'd like to see the dogs win it all but I'd also love to see Scott's reaction if Steve Johnson kicks the winning goal in the GF.

Real chance to win the flag in the next 2-3 years with the Hawks likely to fall of a cliff.

GWS
Bulldogs
Sydney
Melbourne
Geelong

All teams who have shown more than us. If we win a flag its because we are good enough. Not because the hawks have dropped off.

I really ******* hate the term 'the contest'.
Well you see the game is 'won or lost in the midfield'. That's why you need a 'clearance specialist' preferably with a 'basketball background' with 'elite disposal' to feed it out to the runners who 'spread' and deliver to a key forward. He marks the ball 'at the highest point' after 'creating separation' and avoiding the 'closing speed' of his 'direct opponent'.

He takes a 'shot on goal' (not at goal) to apply some much needed 'scoreboard pressure'.

You win the match. At the 'pressa' the coach talks about 'defensive structure','time in possession in the forward half', and 'pressure on the ball carrier'. After fielding questions you can hardly hear on the TV from journos wearing stuff you wouldn't wear around the house the coach gets up and walks out.

So much footy speak has crept into our great game in the last 3 or 4 years. It takes a bit away from the game I reckon.
