You've been wrong before TD.

hawthorn usually slack off and drop a game or two to lower ranked teams, ie brisbane (oops that was geelong ) and richmond last year, maybe its our turn this year to pull one out the ass. o_O

you get my drift...

Freo are coming back, ......................to Perth hahahahahahahabbwbwbwjhahahabwbahaha

Ross Lyon is a dickhead. When playing Hawks you need to MAN THE **** UP and not play your nancy spread like a chicken game plan.

I actually think Port will give Hawthorn a run for their money and they have their nemesis in Geelong they will definitely be beaten somewhere along the line.

Hawthorn were also in great form in the pre season and to sustain it over 28 or 29 games including nab cup is a big ask,any team only has to be better on the last day of the season and it does not matter what passed before just ask the Cats in 2008 or the Saints in 2009.

I do agree Hawthorn at their best have a gap on everybody else no doubt of that.

Freo don't two of the best players/playmakers in Fyfe and Barlow playing and believe would make a huge difference in this game. The one good thing is that Freo's percentage will drop. Hawks still the best team at the moment though.

The Hawks' style is perfectly suited to beat Freo. Getting numbers around the ball isn't much use if the opposition can use footskills to chip the ball to short-to-medium distance options and retain possession. We can't do it because only about 5 guys on our list can kick the ball accurately, but Hawthorn just work it around and don't turn it over. Freo get exhausted chasing.

I watched the first quarter and a half at the G (after watching the VFL Pies) and man were Hawthorn awesome. That first 10-15 minutes was brutal, efficient, accurate, fast and stunning really, no one else can play like that.

It's their flag to lose already.

As Premiers, Hawthorn are up to 4 weeks behind other AFL teams.
It's widely accepted that Freo are a grand finalist in 2014.
On tonight performance, on the ground the Premiership is decided, the Hawks have cemented themselves as back to back favourites.
We are not even close.

Did they show much of the premiership flag unfurling on TV?

At the ground I was in stitches laughing at it, they bought out a small flag pole out (8-10 foot tall), put it on the ground, about 10 players came out, stood in a line and one of the Kennedy's raised the flag, then some sparklers went off.

It was actually funny how small it was.

Hawk's are in the position we were this time in 2011. A long long long way to go yet.

Yeah I was just thinking that. The first half of 2011 we looked invincible. Will wait and see I guess, Hawks are still the team to beat.

The Hawks are a very skillful & very well drilled footy team. They still have McEvoy, Stratton, Hodge & Lake to come back into the team.
Very tough to stop them going back to back.
