Tanner Armstrong #1
An early look for Tigers supporters at their 2026 NGA Tanner Armstrong. A hard working and busy inside mid with strong stoppage craft who can also spread strongly to link play on the outside. Given his diminutive size it'll be interesting to see how his inside game holds up against the tougher challenges to come in his top age season, and he'll need to continue working on his kicking consistency.

Xavier Bamert #1
Xavier Bamert is a medium sized midfielder/utility and addition to the large contingent of classy left foot kickers in this draft pool. This game was a tough one for his Sandy Dragons on a heavy deck, but Xavier found plenty of the ball and used it well when he was able to find space. The most impressive part of his performance might have been the stints he had in the forward line where he provided a strong marking presence and created a number of scoring opportunities.

Hugo Mikunda #1
Mikunda is a clever and versatile player who can sneak under the radar and end up damaging with his ability to set up attacking plays. He had two quieter games and two excellent performances at the Champs with this possibly being his best. He excels at the little things, such as his ability to be clean and composed in traffic and his excellent, attacking decision making with the ball.

Where is Hugo poised to go Noobs? Intrigues me even if his kicking looks poor. A bit of x-factor is what our Bombers need.
I reckon he's a later pick, I don't have him in my top 30ish prospects. Once you get into that back end group it'll depend a lot on team needs as to where guys land.

i have absolutely 0 draft knowledge at all but this guy has really stood out to me in every game, really hope carlton have a look at him at a late pick

Moustafa Darwish #1
An early look for Essendon fans at their highly rated NGA Moustafa Darwish putting together a strong performance for Vic Metro as they cruised to a comfortable win over SA and clinched the U16 Champs. The things that stood out for Darwish in this game were his movement, ability to cover the ground, defensive pressure and his ability to consistently win contests at ground level all game.

Dyson Sharp #17
An excellent game from Dyson, one of Central's best in a strong win. Starting him on ball at the first bounce seemed to give him the confidence to get rolling and he took that confidence with him when moved into the forward line, becoming a lot more assertive than we've seen from him at times at this level. His work rate around the ground was a feature along with his marking which remains an underrated weapon in his arsenal. He misplaced a couple of disposals but for the most part was constructive with the ball.

Sam Grlj #6
A truly impressive performance from Sam Grlj in his VFL debut. Where many kids struggle with their confidence and the increased pace of the VFL game, it looked like nothing could faze Grlj as he flew around the field laying tackles and taking on opponents with his speed and agility. Grlj had slid down many boards due to his middling Champs series, but performing this well at VFL level will be a real boost for his draft stocks.

Dougie Cochrane #3
You've probably all seen the highlights, now here's Dougie Cochrane's full SANFL league debut for Central Districts including some brilliant goals that had the crowd buzzing. An exciting moment for the early pick 1 favourite for 2026. He spent a lot of time on the bench this game with the Dogs coaches limiting his minutes given he's only freshly returned from a long injury layoff, but he didn't need a lot of time to leave a lasting impact in the memory of onlookers.

Phenomenal talent noobermensch. Thankfully sounds like he WON’T be tied to Port’s NGA.

Where positionally do you see him starting his AFL career and where do you think he finishes?

A lot of JHF go home talk as well, where does this come from?

I think a guy that can kick bags of goals, with all of the talents that he possesses inside F50, it would be a waste if he didn't end up spending a lot of his career there. You might start him as a defender to learn the game and adapt to the pace, but ultimately I reckon he'll be a forward that pinch hits through the midfield basically like he plays at SANFL u18s level.

The go home factor probably comes from how desperate his dad Stuart has been in trying to find any way possible to keep him in SA. I have no idea how Dougie himself feels about a move interstate.

Agree with all of the above. We’ll take a couple of SA kids this year, have Hurn at the club in development and will read out Doug’s name if we have pick 1 next year. He could literally go straight to CHB for us, amazing talent.

Cal Twomey is fairly consistent in saying that he will be. Hoping that is the case of course.

Adam Sweid #8
A strong game from Sweid who was huge in the first quarter in helping his Cannons get off to a fast start. His work in contested situations was a real standout in this game. Super physical, clean hands at ground level, power through contact, ability to contort his body to get a disposal away and the peripheral vision to know where his outlet targets are.

Xavier Taylor #2
Xavier Taylor has been a super consistent performer this season, sweeping across the back line and impacting in the air or ground level at every for every team he's represented and playing himself into first round contention. He was a wall here for Eastern, helping them steady and get back into the game after a difficult opening quarter, with his intercepts and rebounding run a feature.

Willem Duursma #17
He's had bigger statistical performances, but this could be a game that helps to really boost Thrillem's pick one candidacy. His contested ball winning as a midfielder was hugely improved here, which makes his iffy kicking much more palatable, and his ability to swoop on loose balls and pace to burst away from congestion was as elite as always. His defensive activity was truly outstanding as he racked up 10 tackles among many other one percent efforts to disrupt the opposition.

Cody Walker #9
A bit a return to earth for Cody in this game after his dominating exploits over the last few months. He had a change of role in the first half which might have contributed to his quieter game, shifting from his more customary midfield to playing wing and half back. He was back in the midfield in the second half but still a little more subdued. Still ended up with 23 disposals which would be fantastic output for most players. His kicking was quite wayward here and remains a point of improvement for him going forward.

Mitch Marsh #4
Mitch Marsh continued with his change of roles in this one, playing mostly as a tall marking wingman with a few stints in the ruck and only a couple of rotations forward. It's an interesting move which suits his strengths and looks great when it works, but seems not to be entirely natural for Mitch yet who can get lost at times. With his status as a first round pick cemented due to his fantastic Champs campaign it's not a bad idea to experiment and show prospective clubs that he has some versatility to his game.

Talor Byrne #5
Byrne is a dynamic performer at Talent League level, able to produce match winning displays as a midfielder or a forward. He was predominantly in the midfield this game, his physicality at stoppage a standout both in his ability to win the hard ball and his intensity to apply defensive pressure with multiple efforts. The more Bryne plays the further he continues to move up draft boards.

Jake Miller #1
Jake Miller is an elite key forward prospect for the 2027 draft, only 16 years old but already having an impact at Talent League level and recently having had a fantastic run at the U16 Champs. Here we have a look at his Talent League debut from a few weeks ago, an extremely impressive performance that saw him named player of the week. Few make marking the footy look as easy as Jake does, with his size, quick judgement of the ball flight, and super clean hands.

Gabriel Patterson #1
Gabriel Patterson has been getting some buzz as a bottom ager ahead of his draft year in 2026. He's an energetic small(ish) forward who attacks contests with intensity in the air or at ground level and applies strong defensive pressure. This game was a huge breakout performance for him, kicking 7 goals and looking impossible to stop whenever the ball was in his area.

Hugo Mikunda #2
This was Mikunda's best performance of the Talent League season so far, racking up a huge amount of the footy and as is typical for him looking to attack with his disposals, pumping the ball inside F50 13 times for the game. He has a very high % of score involvements, but at times he can get overly ambitious with his decision making, a risk/reward style that can lead to a lot of turnovers.

Cody Templeton #3
Cody started the game with a bang, laying tackles left and right and damaging with the ball. After appearing to have a bit of an awkward fall he looked sore and slowed down, but he was still a strong influence, kicking a couple of goals and creating for his teammates.
