The North Melbourne Football Club was proud to support Ballarat radio station 3BA’s annual Christmas Appeal on Tuesday.

Drew Petrie, along with Ed Lower and Josh Smith travelled to the Pleasant St Primary School before attending the Central Square shopping centre where they met and greeted Kangaroos fans, as well as handing out gifts and making a donation to of North Melbourne merchandise.

The appeal supports four major welfare agencies, Uniting Care, the Salvation Army, St Vincent de Paul and Anglicare. This year its hoped $175,000 can be raised through donations of cash, toys and food items.

Since its inception the appeal has raised in excess of $3.5 million to support local families.

Every donation, be it large or small, makes Christmas a little more enjoyable for our less fortunate families and ensures they do not become the forgotten members of the Ballarat community.
