How bad does Zane what to leave? If Essendon offered pick 6 for Zane and Norths F1st, would it be fair.

Do the roos still rate Zane?

Surely would have to offer more than that. Given how weak this years draft is looking, trading this years pick 6 for next years pick 8 for example might be a decent win for Essendon on its own, without even factoring in Duursma.

I genuinely believe neither team would swap the player they have and are both very happy with their selections and both will be 200+ game players

But this is an easy game to play - you needed quaility midfielders with good foot skills but over looked Lindsay and Reid.

But maybe give Tauru more time - more often than not they end up becoming Koschitzke and not N Riewoldt.

Obviously we are desperate for midfield talent , but I’m extremely happy with the tauru pick I think he ends up being the best player from this draft definitely has the most upside anyway

It's murmurs based on him playing VFL at the moment, which he's doing pretty well recently. Should be back in seniors as soon as this week and hopefully that's the end of it.

Id seriously look at the following:

Duursma and F2 for Tsatas and Pick 6.

North Overpaying for Tsatas and Essendon probably overpaying for Duursma.

Tsatas could have a role at North given Wardlaws concussion history.

I’d do it, although I’d rather take the second rounder in this years draft than next years. I want to see if we can bundle it up with our other 2 second rounders for GCS first pick

The retort was that Duursma was by far and away the more highly rated and outright pick three, hence the right decision. Guys like Caddy weren’t even on Kanga fans radar that high up the draft.

Nah, we were in desperate need of developing KP's. In the north draft thread guys like Caddy, O'Sullivan and Curtin were all discussed as potential recruits at length.

Many of us said that Duursma didn't suit our list build considering we already had Zurhaar/Curtis ect who are similar types.

Still can’t get over the fact they could have had 2 of Watson, Curtin, OSullivan or Caddy and instead went two soft flankers.

Kerch was a good pick Dursmaa over the O’Sullivan, Caddy or Watson in positions of need was poor

Every position was a position of need for North. It's foolish to write off any 19 year old, especially a taller one playing in a poor side.

I have faith that Zane will produce the chocolates just feel given the needs for KPP or elite small fowards a project prototype footballer probably isn’t the highest of needs at pick 3

They needed more than KPP and small forwards though. They had holes everywhere.

Needs shouldn't come into it at pick 3.

The players you've mentioned have all started their careers well, but there's no guarantee that would've been the case in a far poorer side.
