Disappointing but understandable loss.

Injuries massively hurt being 3 down and I think we did OK considering. Clear difference in the game.

Gibson, Wells, Zeibull, Harvey excellent.

Tarrant is AA. Just a massive gun - full credit to him and full discredit to me writing him off.

Have to move on:
Nahas - Abysmal. Sure a few moments in finals suggests otherwise but the large % of the rest is simply terrible. Too small and slow.
BMac - not AFL standard.
Mullett - same. Moves well, thought was better, but his decision making is terrible.

Goldstein had a poor/fumbly game for mine despite his stats. He'll be right.

Lets test Dumont, Clarke, Wagner, Fordham and co to fill spots that older guys ^^ clearly aren't up to for the last few spots when a team is picked. What's to lose when carrying these liabilities anyway?

Disappointing but with the circumstances we've been OK. Not all lost despite what s**t the media will no doubt serve up that we didn't measure up etc etc.

In any case we add Jacobs, Garner, Anderson and Higgins to this team with a fit 22 not 3 down and we beat the pussies (sorry, Cats) next time IMO :thumbsu:

Eh.
Everything possible went right for them and they beat us by a whopping 31 points. We were down to 19 fit players for more than 3 quarters.
We just have to stop copping injuries. We can go far with a full strength team in the finals.

pretty hard winning with 3 prime movers done for the night.....

cant complain too much

Defense was very good

Disappointed in Nahas and Drew to some extent.
Mullet is rather poor too....

Cunners and Dal Santo couldn't run, Goldstein can't jump (clearly not 100%, give Daw a run). Swallow out, no BJ to run with Dangerfield, that is a recipe for midfield domination and we obviously got smashed there.

If you're not fully fit you shouldn't be playing next week. Rest Goldy for Daw and debut a youngster for Nahas.

We coudn't win a contested ball without Swallow and Cunners. and then Dal as well.
Not too despondent, the second quarter was excellent in the circumstances.
Goldy really is sore.
Throw in Higgins, Anderson, Jacobs, Wright and now Dal, Atley and Cunners and we are s**t out of luck at the moment.
Tall forwards are just going. Mullet and Nahas - surely dropped although may be saved by casualty ward.
Swallow surely misses next week too.
Big week of selection.

Can't bag Petrie the bigfooty mafia will hunt you down.

I'll bag all 3 key forwards. Yes we are 10-2 but jesus they've been s**t in recent times. Brown can ruck. They aren't kicking goals. The service wasn't the best tonight but if they are down they stay down. They don't lidt when we need them (may be a coach thing though). Put petrie in the ruck, put mason one out with some room.

Good effort with injuries.

Nahas has to be out. Hopefully forever.

Jmac Gibson Lmac Tarrant best.
Good defense to only lose by 5 goals

Goldy not 100 but will play regardless

LT did ok at times in midfield

Game has gone past NDS sadly

Maybe need more midfielders and rely on forwards to kick more goals

Lost centre clearances 20 to 8
Geelong used the interchange 90 times compared to our 72

Geelong are a great team. Dangerfield and Selwood, in particular, were brilliant tonight. But there's no question injuries to our key midfielders hurt us badly.

Oh, and a shout out to Ben Jacobs ... no-one doubts your value now Ben! Come back ... soon ... pleeeeeease

Injuries only tell party of the story. Clearly bon's worst game of the year. Why not send Cunners to full forward? Why wait so long to clamp down on danger? Why not use wood or Thomas in the midfield? Why keep playing Nahas?

Not all that happy with it.

Really disappointing opening to that second half. Just couldn't lock them up at all. Fumbly hands really cost us.

Tackling was also extremely poor all night. Even if Swallow had ten, that would only give us 49 for the night and we were massively out possessed.

We did have some good individual performances, but a lot of really average ones.
