Terrible quarter. Not sure what our players were doing, the nappy fillers had more players around the ball and more players in open space. We struggled to get the ball into our forward 50 and then find a target, the nappy fillers had free players everywhere.

Development is great. Playing young players for experience is beneficial.

But they've got to be able to ******* offer something.

I'd rather play with 21 than Mahony some weeks. Lazzaro is having a go but tell Hall or Ziebell to run past the kid each time he gets it, so at least that way the turnover is 60 meters down the wing instead of 30.

Good thing we've put 10 years into Garner so we can have a couple of good tackles a game too...

A few too many players jogging at times.
Inside 50's that aren't going to good spots.
And Hawthorn turning brown into gold every time they enter their 50.

Deflating quarter when they genuinely don't have dominance anywhere other than the scoreboard, though they did get more control as our heads progressively dropped.

He is truly awful. Has had all the excuses in the world but 1-1 doesn’t offer enough contest.

Simple fact:

Hawthorn get it inside 50 (10), they score (8).

North get it inside 50 (11), they don't (2).

1. we don’t have a key forward inside forward 50.

2. Zurhaar, Garner, Mahoney ect all too slow to actually put pressure on when we lose the contest inside forward 50.

Larkey is the weakest key forward in the league. Has absolutely zero strength and seems to think flopping in mid air will win him a free rather than actually hitting it as hard as possible.

LDU has no defensive pressure at all. His opposition just walk away from him and he watches.

This is ugly already - we have no run other than Hall and Thomas

Getting killed in the middle on the spread and forward of the ball. Even compared to Hawthorn there is a big difference in talent levels.

Fitzroy in their last season would fancy their chances. Too many young players jog along in 2nd gear
