i tend to agree, the tiggers are so middle of the pack right now. capable of good spurts of football but no consistency.

until we sure up the KPP stocks we will struggle next year, there is a gaping hole at CHF, CHB and the ruck.

so many teams have over taken the tiges and this frustrates me no end, why should WCE just jump from last to top 4?? the older players may have some say in it but there is no way cox and kerr are worth 5 extra wins in a season...

I don't think we should be comparing ourselves to WC. They have actually got a fair chunk of experienced players in their starting 22 compared to ours and with all due respect to them, everything has gone right for them all season so far unlike last year.

You guys definitely won't win next week but I was just wondering what you think your chances are against Essendon will be?

Both sitting on 5-7-1, Essendon ahead of you on percentage, both outside the 8. Yet Essendon also have a tough game of Geelong next week as well.

Thoughts?

I would be totally pissed if we dropped to the Bombers Kerrby. Looks like Watson, Lonergan and a few others will be missing. I do agree about the Carlton game, they fire up against us and will get a few back which will help their cause.

Its two weeks away, who cares right now.

I'm not too disheartened by the loss to Melbourne. I think it will stir them on now they know we aren't far off the mark.

We gave it everything, just weren't good enough.

Thats what 95% of the experts and football public said about your mob before the Tankers game. Just cause you won on the road against an undermanned dubious top 4 contender, no need get so cocky.

Okay this is more relevant now seeing we're closer to the Richmond vs Essendon game.

I was right about Richmond not winning but wrong about Essendon losing. So after Richmond getting beat last week and Essendon beating Geelong, do you think Richmond are a chance at winning this week?

If you had to tip a team, who would it be?

Since our 157 pt drubbing in 2007 I was keen to see how our floggings have taken place. I might have missed a few but im looking at 75+ pts.
06-115 v doggies 118 v sydney 103 v saints 88 v west coast
`07 - 157 pt Geelong.
`08 - None. 82 v Sydney
`09 - 92 pts Pies, 83 pts Tankers, 80 pts Eagles
`10 - 108 pts Cats, 89 pts Tankers, 82 pts Pies. 72 pts Dogs
`11 - 71 pts Pies.

`09 Was a very unstable year and can be expected.
`10 with such change and transition was also expected.

Great to see so far this year 71 our worst against the reigning Premiers, and that was a positive game as in the 3rd quarter we were the first team in 17 games to beat Collingwood’s press and win contested ball, and we even out scored them by 24 points.

Even this year we have won 8 last halves and lost 5. Out of the five we have lost, we won the 3rd qtr against the Pies and the last qtr against Port. Even Saturday against the Dees we won the last half and last qtr (3rd was a draw)

It shows a steely resolve and a unit who wont give up. For the first time in years and years we are playing as a team.

just in case you forgot the swans game, winning quarters or halves means JS when you throw in performaces like that, in our first 100 years we suffered bugger all humiliations this generation throws in one or two a year to make up for that.

The other thing that adds to the humiliations is that 80% of them have happened in games where bench marks were being tested, after belief was starting to re-appear with the tigerheads..It has never ceases to amaze me how often we play our worst game possible in games where we need our best to even contemplate getting close.
You can excuse the team if they were over confident and got ambushed by a spoon contender, but when fronting up to top shelf and to lay down and die each and every time is a mystery. ;)
