He’s gone. It’s week 21 of the home and away season. He had a blank cheque from saints months ago. He’s just waiting for the end of the season to announce it.
It sucks for you. Obviously anyone losing a gun player it sucks for them.
Take comfort in the fact you’re lucky to even be in the afl and only exist to keep the vfl control and as a patsy for the proper vic clubs.
Every week your club exists is another week the afl continues to be a Mickey Mouse league with the credibility of a mob run poker game.

No team outside of Sa is going to take him in a draft. How many times has it happened in history?
Has the rise of the all-powerful players union affected things? Of course it has. If it hasn’t or barely happened before what’s the likihood now?
The only threat would have been the crows.
There’s not even a 0.000001% chance west coast or anyone else would take nas in the draft.
Does that mean port will or should make a crap offer? No. for other reasons.

No player as good as Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera has ever gone to the PSD to test the theory. Because no club nominated by a player as good as Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera has ever been stupid enough to allow that to happen.
The idea that not just one but 5 or 6 clubs would all choose to just lie down and allow us to take one of the brightest young stars in the league for free rather than take a punt on trying to convince him to play for them (and getting a king's ransom at the trade table in 2026 if they can't) is delusional. If we take Nas in the PSD then every West Coast, North, Richmond, Essendon and Melbourne supporter should burn their clubs to the ground.

Absolutely they all would. You get him for a year, then get a suite of picks the following year. You are getting him for free and banking multiple first rounders for him, why wouldn’t you?

You are not going to get him for free.
You are spending 2 million plus dollars that could be spent on players committed to the club.
You are not getting a multiple first rounded picks next year because he goes to port for nothing or back into the draft
None of these things will happen because we will work something out along the lines of two first rounds picks.

Yeah don’t like him suggesting he is anything but a currently contracted player at St Kilda.
It’s Big Footy that talk hypotheticals and pretend that we know what’s going on.
