he would be very good depth (if he can get a injury free run at it)You would think that if Leek Aleer is going there Dougal will get delisted. Apparently almost happened this year. I'd sign him DFA in an instant.

Would be more than happy to have a former Port Adelaide captain back at the club (except Cassisi and Jonas)You would think that if Leek Aleer is going there Dougal will get delisted. Apparently almost happened this year. I'd sign him DFA in an instant.
I highly HIGHLY doubt any of those clubs will accept that and also potentially screw their salary and also players off
But how many club would pay big money to a guys who doesn’t want to be their and won’t be invested and will trying to immediately walk out at the next trade periodHonestly, if I was a player at a club who was picking before us in the PSD and somehow kicking around with a $2M hole in their 2026 salary cap, I reckon I'd be annoyed if they didn't pick NWM. Serious players want good players at their club.

Rather than taking pick 80 in the ND, West Coast draft NWM in the PSD, he can even sit out football for a year for all they care, and then they trade him to us or whoever for at least a first rounder, probably more. And unlike St Kilda, West Coast can play the "he's contracted" card. But how many club would pay big money to a guys who doesn’t want to be their and won’t be invested and will trying to immediately walk out at the next trade period
That's precisely the point a lot on the draft trading board can't comprehend with the PSD. If port are apparently offering a front ended contract at $2 million a season (if i got that correct) then it would be a rare chance any club below Port pick him up and not only that but extremely idiotic and poor list management getting a player for 1 year at that price knowing he will leave at the end of that year after a good pay check and to where he wants to go... reason being, clubs try and build their lists around players in and coming in to stay there for X amount of years.. it's basically a big waste of time especially for a bottom club that isn't going anywhere fast even if they had NWM. Yeah they could get a compensation pick when he departs which might be a 1st rounder but it's still absolutely ridiculous thing to do from a club list management perspective and business perspective... Wish some of the clowns over on that board understood that. Funny thing is, with all the injuries now and to key players, Port might finish 15th so it would be Tigers, Eagles, North and Essendon to choose first. I can only see Essendon doing it because they are legit a scrub spiteful club that don't care. But doubtful. If port know they have way more in the salary cap for 1 year 2026 then throw majority at him as the offer, $2 million or way more for 1 year, overload it then just smooth it out and balance it on a new contract after that finishes. But how many club would pay big money to a guys who doesn’t want to be their and won’t be invested and will trying to immediately walk out at the next trade period
Read my post above. Also there would be no trade if he did get picked up by another club for a year contract. He walks at the end and they'll get compensation pick as he will then be delisted free agent AKA unrestricted free agent. And I can not see any club apart from Crows at this stage, talking to Nas to do a $2 million 1 year contract, or more.Rather than taking pick 80 in the ND, West Coast draft NWM in the PSD, he can even sit out football for a year, and then they trade him to us or whoever for at least a first rounder, probably more. Why wouldn't they? They'd essentially be buying an excellent draft pick. I can think of worse things a club could do with $1m.
NWM isn't agreeing to come here or anywhere on a 1 year deal, so they would get compensation, and excellent compensation at that.Read my post above. Huh? Not what I said, the one year was for PSD contract terms 1 year at huge amount of money to get to Port otherwise if another club did go for it (massive waste) he would get to port after that year and on a longer contract for less than that figure. Still might be band 1 first round pick compensation though but that's all they'd get. Still a stupid move for any club to do.NWM isn't agreeing to come here or anywhere on a 1 year deal, so they would get compensation, and excellent compensation at that.
No interview no medical. One year deal leaving next year.Honestly, if I was a player at a club who was picking before us in the PSD and somehow kicking around with a $2M hole in their 2026 salary cap, I reckon I'd be annoyed if they didn't pick NWM. Serious players want good players at their club.
The thing is St Kilda just needs AFL standard players all over the ground. The challenge will be that no one will want to go there unless their career is on the line here at Port.
Soldo, Burton, Lord, Mead, Finlayson, Williams, Lorenz. But these guys aren’t worth that much.
The next tier of players Farell, Drew, Sinn, Jones, are worth maybe 2nd round picks. Could use a different club in a threeway.
Will be interesting how bold the club will be, and whether they would actually move someone like Ollie Wines on. He would make a big difference at a club like St Kilda or Essendon. He would probs get an extra year or two and more $$.
Even DBJ could extend his career somewhere too.
McEntee is worth literally zero. We wouldn't get a future 8th rounder for him.Long term moving on Wines or DBJ is the right move unless contesting next year is realistic and I'm not sure it is., short term it leaves a big gap, though you would have to back in guys like Berry and Jackson to step up.
Throw in McEntee or Lord and a first with some late round picks coming back and it starts looking workable.
Ken is the winningest coach in the AFL.Lol McEntee
Wines is 30, I'd honestly have him as having less value than any of the guys in your 2nd round pick list, and possibly even some in the first list. Same with DBJ.The thing is St Kilda just needs AFL standard players all over the ground. The challenge will be that no one will want to go there unless their career is on the line here at Port.

If we were Essendon I'm sure Matthew Lloyd would have already talked about him as a straight swap for NWM.Surely anyone mentioning McEntee in any trade concoction is taking the P155 ?
Jase and JHF are literally his brothers, if he leaves all im going to say is it is obvious who he requests a trade too.
I am pretty confident NAS is coming
