OMG Well known crow lover Theo D regurgitates work experience boy's tweet and out come the doomscrollers. You gotta laugh.

Without any ties to PA, the crows are the obvious choice on form and on the probability of winning a flag in future.

Scold me if you want, but it’s true. Call it Hinkley’s parting gift.

WM needs to like PA that much that he’s willing to forgo the reality that on balance the crows are closer than PA to success.

WM would be walking into the unknown at PA with a new coach. Will he be part of a mini rebuild or does he want to walk into a club that’s already in contention? WM has been part of a rebuild already, is he willing to be part of one again?

Fortunes can change quickly, sure. Carr needs to get in front of WM and convince him to come.

I wouldn’t be relying on blind loyalty to a club that’s nothing what it was when WM grew up following it.
So by that logic, Port was the clear choice for the last 7 years since they consistently finished higher than the Crows. And now, suddenly, because the Crows finish higher this season, that makes them the “obvious” option in his mind?

Are we really suggesting he hasn’t thought about this until now, or that he’s just forgotten the past 7 years completely? It’s far more likely he was already leaning in a certain direction before this season even began.

Posts like this are dripping with recency bias, and it’s honestly frustrating. Just look at the big-name players who’ve returned to SA recently:
  • Dawson
  • Rankine
  • Lukosius
Do you think any of them made their decisions based on who had the better season that year? I can guarantee you they didn’t.

What you're saying could have totally applied to Jordan Dawson in late 2021. Of course, he picked the Crows despite genuine interest from Port.

There are lots of factors that go into these decisions, many which the public are simply not aware of.

We shall see, Nas picking Crows over us would be indicative of our reputation around the AFL.

I assume for opposition players from the outside looking in, seeing our players basically quit on the season because Ken is leaving would be an incredibly incredibly poor look.

Most players joining new clubs do it because they ultimately want to win.
100%, there is no way I would join our playing group their attitude is absolutely disgraceful.

“Nas, one of the best things about coming to Port is you have the freedom to just cruise through the entire season while getting paid millions in the process. Unlike other more successful clubs, there are no real standards here mate. Hell, you can dine out on Krispy Kreme’s every night, be 10 kg overweight, & we’ll still give you a game. Why put any added pressure on yourself, when you can kick back & enjoy Europes best destinations in September, while the other losers fight over a meaningless Cup. Don’t be a fool Nas, now is the time to make the community proud & join a club renowned for its stability”.

Ken, Koch, & Rozee’s pitch to Nas.

Being in Perth I’m away from it now but it looks like everyone in the media in SA is a crows lover?

If they're not, they still kow-tow to them. You never see a Port person in the media ever put the boots to them like they do to us.

crows have always been balls deep in this. Its no surprise they have allegedly become front runners

Caro rarely gets things wrong and she did say NWM didn’t want to go there - perhaps things have changed.

It would surprise me if he went there as they don’t have a great record on indigenous issues from Tex Walker incident to their fallout with McLeod.

I’m as frustrated as anyone with us giving up first round draft picks, but then you watch Jones and Sinn going around, and you realise we’ve wasted a few of them too.
How many times does it need to be repeated? We didn't spend a first round pick in Lachie Jones. He was an NGA bid match. And anyone that thinks we wasted our 2020 first round pick is a ****ing moron because we traded it into 2019 to select Mitch Georgiades.

I won’t say publicly around the background of this story, but you can completely dis-regard her report on this occasion.
