20 metres clear with room... STILL DIDN'T KICK IT TO ROCCA!

Personally, this means O'Bree knew he was having a shocker. If there was only a few points seperating the two sides, that could have been the turning point in the game. Fortunately, Leon got a free kick from that forward thrust and converted, but so much could have gone wrong.

By the way, Anthony will be very lucky not to be sighted for striking.
You're only as good as your last game. In his case, it's no exception, he was very average today.

Striking? Please explain...

No this means O'bree is a f'n terrible kick and probably knew he couldn't hit the target once again.

He couldn't hit a barn and he continues to kick the ball around his body and turning it over.

Rocca wouldn't have marked cause Holland would of been scragging holding and raping him the entire way. Like every other kick to rocca we had.

Mate I was at the game today and thought o'bree was one of the most average players I had seen. He did a few nice things here and there but in the last quarter was just not moving (manning up) He would take his time to go man up and by then the damage was already done. Is he carrying an injury or was it just lack of rotation (harry was obviously off and i heard maxwell was cramping and heater needed a breather?)

I saw that, was a couple of minutes after Rocca failed to mark a perfect pass (cant remember who it was from), obviously he lost the teams faith and confidence in him, and to be honest I can't blame them.

Rocca was shocking today, for a supposed leader he gave away far to many stupid free kicks. He knows the bloody rules, yet he seems to not be able to come to grips with not putting hands in the back. Kept tring to take mark of the year, and giving away stupid free kicks.

All he needs to do is contest....do the team thing, might not be as glorious and won't receive the kudo's, but sometimes, even if your having a bad day, you need to contest for the team, not for yourself.

And he was lazy...preferred to sit there wrestling with his oponent instead of getting on his bike and leading.

Pathetic effort from Rocca today.

It wasn't Anthony, it was the one-armed man!!!

... oh wait, same guy. :o

I know you guys aren't going too over the top but if this happened:

In: Wellingham
Out: O'Bree

We'd be a much, much worse side, despite getting games into an exciting talent.

He played a shocker today, the first of the year (which has been quiet, but not bad compared to last year).

I don't think O'Bree was our only average footballer against the Dee's but in all honesty, i think considering we had a bit of a stinker. We definately struggled with the rules and got harshly treated. (Rocca's arm being held and the Robertson hands in the back at a crucial time).

When we lost Harry O we had to rely on a couple of boys fresh out of school to hold very capable AFL forwards. Was never going to be easy.

Things didn't go our way, we played badly, missed some more gettable goals (none worse then Cloke's who is having a great season) and only lost by 2 goals. To have a shocker against any AFL team always results in a loss but on the flip side, they only just got over the top of us after all that eventuated!

I have had a night to digest the result and i am looking forward to getting some of our gun backmen back. We might have a tough time matching up 'til they come back. O'Loughlin, Hall and co might make it difficult without Harry, Presti and Clement to quell their influence.
