We want there to be some challenge & difficulty in scoring a goal - that's what makes the game so good. Any dipsh*t can punt a ball from 25 metres at height through some uprights after standing around all day in front of the posts.
try it some time...and then come back and post your garbage

Been there, done it. I've played all 4 major codes and the most challenging by far is Football by a long way.

What're you talking about? It's real easy not using your hands, kicking a ball that doesn't spin on its own all the while trying to get it in a goal barely 2m high with defenders all around you and some bloke who can touch the ball standing in front of the goal? Easy as taking a leak. :o :p

Keeper Defender

                                 |

That is NOT offside! it's play on!

plus if i may add something, offside rule does not apply during a free kick and a corner kick.

If the ball is being played to the attacker (lobbed over the top in that case) then it's offside? If he's ran with the ball past the defender than it's obviously not offside.

Offside is like holding the ball - it's nowhere near as complicated as people think. The wording of the rule is explanation enough - it goes something like this:

A player is offside if he is close to the opponents' goal line than the ball, at the moment the ball is played - UNLESS
- There are at least two defenders between him and the goal line
- He is in his own half of the field
- He is not interfering with play (in the referee's opinion)
- The ball is played from a free kick, corner kick, throw in etc.

(this last bit gets interesting when the ball is next played after a free kick, for example. A player can stand on the goal line when the free kick is taken, but if the kick is blocked, and it falls to another attacker who then takes a shot, the guy on the goal line had better make sure he's outta there quickly, or he'll be offside. Pretty hard to argue you're not interfering with play when you're standing on the goal line.)
