O'Bree looks good. I know its something we hear often at this stage of the year, but he is the fittest he's been in years. He has played well in the practice matches thus far. Needs to work hard to retain his stronghold on the ruck-roving slot.

Seriously, Why isn't Luke the mod of this board? No offence FIGGY and Nick, but Luke does an outstanding job with these training reports. He works his butt off for the Collingwood board, and he should be rewarded.

Lol - thanks C_T. :)

If I was needed/wanted as a mod, I'm more than happy to act as one. But FJ and Nick are doing a fantastic job all the same.

Thanks though, CT. :)

Are you serious?

Rowe's knees stuffed, Pendles has kissed to many ********s, Stanners pulled a hammy, Richards has been nursed like a cancer patient and Yakka's been a bit iffy, among a few other concerns.

What is notable, is that our injury concerns this year are not to key personell.

Whether or not getting the key personell are fully operational footy wise, with many having half to a full year off, will only be known when we start the playing in earnest. Earnest nowadays pretty much means Round 1.

Hey guys, has anyone heard more about some of the Magpies players struggling with the hardness of their training ground at Olympic Park? Apparently several players are experiencing foot problems due to the hardness of the track...

I have kicked the footy on the Edwin Flack Oval, and it doesn't feel too hard on foot in my opinion.

Where did you here this, bbco?

I think that it is true. The turf at Victoria Park was very lush, while EF Oval is much harder. It may have taken players time to adjust to the new surfaces/sudden change (from what I've heard). Not 100% concrete, but it is thought to be the reason.

I heard of it through some reports about the Maggies/Crusaders training session at Olympic Park. Has anyone else heard about this?

Johnson, do you know of any specific player/s that may be struggling with the hard surface?

I have a very small training report from yesterday.

Cameron Cloke kicked a 70 metre torp right through the middle, with a rugby ball. Balme stood there incredulous for a few seconds, turned to me and said "Jesus, those Cloke boys ..."

In a passing drill, Dale Thomas pulled a massive sidestep on one of the Islander fellas, leaving him clutching at thin air.

Travis Cloke, Presti, Wakelin, Caracella and some other bloke were getting killed at this drill. All 5 were absolutely ********house at Rugby.

Then I left, fun to watch I must say. Lot's of dissing and cussing. A jolly time being had by all.

Yeah I was. Anyway thanks for that, good summary, I probably just havent been reading close enough. :o

PS Whats up with Rowe's knee - whats the prognosis ?

My mail is that Rowe's limited training is due to o.p that they're trying to stop getting out of control , I know he has had knee problems in the past.

You know, BIB, I don't think you're too far off the mark there. He has not done too much 'heavy' work, and when quizzed (by myself) about his injury status, he seemed fairly subdued...in other words - he didn't want to give much away. It wouldn't surprise me, certainly.

As a few of you know I am John ANTHONY's Dad and most Fridays get down to training to watch the boys. I am a very keen photographer and tend to take hundreds of pics at games and training so decided to share some of the images with you and develop a little website with pics of the boys at training. During the year I will post up pics of game day weather it be Collingwood or Williamstown. So, for now here's a link to the website, but be warned, it's not finished yet and the images will be uploaded as I go. Enjoy for now.

No, it does work, apparently I have exceeded the daily useage allowance. Seems like Goecities has pretty crappy bandwidth allowance. Anyone know of any decent servers that offer good free web space??

Awesome Mr JA!!! :thumbsu: :thumbsu:

Bloody hell, Rusling's got some guns for a 19 year old!

You might also try Flickr http://www.flickr.com/ , the Geocities service isn't really cut out for popular sites! or photos! lol, not good for much other than star trek fan novels and the like...

Flickr and Photobucket type sites will do the job tho.

Look like great photos. Cant see em unfortunately as keeps running out of bandwidth after about 5 photos. Be fantastic if they could be moved to a better location.
