Stick him in the middle where he can burst out of the pack and deliver the ball to Charlie 💕
I know you mean well but the love hearts that frequently accompany the imaginary scenarios written about young players have a funny vibe, I often feel like I am reading a fan fiction lol

he has one major asset, and he barely uses it
there should be no reason he is not chasing down opponents, let alone breaking up the play by bursting away from a contested situation
To be fair it’s two; burst speed AND aerobic capacity. But yes we don’t see the former often enough at AFL level.

Maybe they are happy to lose Neale for whatever reason so that the savings from his salary are used to increase Bailey's. Bailey has stated he doesn't want to leave
I believe that's what will happen, only way Brisy can up their offer to Bailey to get close to what the Crows are offering.

Every club has done it until the rules changed and you think North would have done us a favour, how naive! Better to get something rather than nothing which is what would have happened if the club didn't trade back. The Callaghan and Nick combo was never going to happen, that's just the truth.

Good story bro. Pity it’s not true. North were committed to taking Horne Francis at Pick 1. It’s common knowledge within drafting circles and was even reported pretty extensively.

GWS took Cadman over bidding on the much more highly rated Ashcroft because he was the player they wanted.

Ed Allan’s natural position is bench. He’s just so bruise-free. So frustrating. Would appear to have natural gifts.

I was hopeful, but the 5x$700k deal that the eagles have on the table will be pretty hard for him to turn down.

Depends IF want to play for a Side that might have a Chance at the Flag or a Team that been a Basket Case for a Few Seasons

Wow imagine adding Butters to this team.

Butters, Smith, Holmes would rivals Judd,Cousins and Kerr as the hardest running midfield

Nah we have Nick, Ned and Ed. No one gets close to that midfield.

Lol we havent recruited a star mid or forward in forever it seems (does treloar qualify?).... Geelong recruited multiple-Coleman medalist Cameron, then one Brownlow contender in Smith, and are about to follow it up with another Brownlow contender in Butters 2 years later. Just crazy.

Geez... thats some offer

I don’t think the dollars are the issue given 600k is the median AFL salary.

But 5 years is a massive commitment given he’s not a proven commodity at the level. Regardless of how much I liked him in his draft year.

At the moment I’d probably prefer Sam Berry as my ideal bargain basement buy.

Sam Berry... I think he's the one I heard has hit a trigger for 2027.

Ah right. I assume it’s his option to take up though. Hopefully he doesn’t and explores a longer term option with us.

Although Berry would probably spell the end for Long in particular

Don’t forget Dangerfield.

Unfortunately not.
I heard it discussed on SEN. It’s automatic

Do you know why North didn't bid on Nick? Because there wasn't a pick there to be absorbed, if there was they would have done it because when has another club done Collingwood a favour? The answer is never. Clubs with good F/S and nga's have ALWAYS moved the pick, that was how the rules worked then, those are the facts and they are incontrovertible, I'm not surprised people don't understand that a Callaghan and Nick scenario was never going to happen and didn't.
