As a Hawk supporter I hated Andrew McLeod when he played against us but I loved watching the man play football. He did it like very few others he had everything, hope he keeps playing for a few years yet.
Is it true that Fremantle didn't want him and he went to the Crows? if so thank f@ck he did because Fremantle would have probably ruined his career.

McLeod has said before, 'I wasn't keen to live in Perth and I didn't feel comfortable about playing for the club. They sensed I didn't really want to play there and I guess they got the picture and weren't keen on me either.'

So it was kind of mutual..

According to a newspaper article the day after that trade period ended in 94, Mcleod and his father werent impressed with the contract Freo offered him and so he told Freo he wouldnt play there. Apparently Collingwood offered him a stack of money and he was keen to go there but Freo refused to deal with Collingwood.

When I look back at the Brownlow winners during Macca's career, worthy as they were, was this diamond not at least equal to their talents? - Not just here and there in patches, but consistently.

Andrew McLeod is a player of true class, and i feel privileged to have watched him play throughout the years, and hopefully i'll see him play for years to come.

Crows are lucky to have such a top player.

When the Fox game is a Port or crows game the game is also on free to air and therefore the other game is not broadcast. Todays' lack of broadcast had nothing to do with the Olympics

Crows Richmond should be on 7 all around Australian tomorrow

Surprisingly, we are actually getting the full complement of games on TV this week - despite the Olympics.

The Friday night game was broadcast at 8am this morning (at least here in Canberra, I assume it was done in other states as well). Today's games are on Ch Teen, thus not impacted by the Olympics.

The Crows/Richmond game is scheduled to be broadcast live tomorrow afternoon all around the country.

He's been playing with that injury for much of the season and as a result is having next to no impact on games.

He got through training ok by all reports and should line up against Richmond tomorrow. Sadly though, his days of dominating games appear over.

Legend. He's been an inspiration to so many people, and not just in a footballing sense either. Completely robbed of a Brownlow, but continued on without even a complaint about it. Greatest indigenous player of all time. Champion in the truest sense of the word. Congrats Andy.

Everyone always mentions the Fremantle game.. but another game he was robbed was the game against Nth Melbourne at the Telstra dome. Every newspaper and commentator in the country said McLeod should have received 3 votes for that game... he absolutely dominated. How many votes did he get? NONE. One vote in the North game and one vote in the Freo game would have won him the medal, when he should have received 3 for the North game, and 2 for the Freo game.

Robbed.
