No, Just answer the question..
Did you enjoy that?
No, did you enjoy winning nothing and watching your arch rivals claim their 18th title and 11th premier league?

Oh well, still a good season. EPL, Carling Cup, not too bad although the UCL would have been awseome i reallllllllyyyyy wanted the EPL this season so i cant complain, and Barca were very good tonight.

Just ignore the trolls boys.

Totally outclassed by a better team on the night.
Our midfield gave us nothing for much of the match.

Had to score when we were on top but didn't and their goal flattened us.

We were smashed.

Can only think of O'Shea who controlled Henry as a player who won his position.

Now O'Shea being our best tells the whole story.

Three seasons of **** all, and the only thing they can celebrate is United finishing runner up against Europe's best club side.

I'm happy with the EPL. And it's the only thing I want next season too. As always, anything else is just a bonus.

But it was a weird season. I didn't think we played anywhere near our best, and yet, we got to within 3 games of a clean sweep of the silverware.

On the one hand, the last two months was one pressure game after another, and we got through it. But on the other, we were totally outplayed by Liverpool and Barcelona. For a variety of reasons, I'm just not sure on which side of the peak we're in. The only thing I'm certain of is that Fergie will have those two games against Barca and Liverpool on his mind, and he'll be working to make sure we don't get wiped out like that again.

From this season, we clearly won the league based on squad strength. Our best XI isn't as good as last season. Is it our own undoing with all the changes upfront during the year.

Rooney and Ronaldo alternating from wings to lone striker

I think on the evidence of tonight we need a top class AM.

Happy with Carrick even if he was average tonight and Anderson isn't quite there yet but worth persisting with.

Giggs was aweful tonight as was Park and Scholes should be a bit player these days

If we keep Ronaldo and Tevez?? I would like to see Rooney and Ronaldo on the wings. Carrick or Hargreaves as the DM with a classy AM. With Tevez and berbatov up front.

A Line up like this would be frightening -

VDS/Foster
Rafael/Brown - Rio - Vidic - Evra
Ronaldo - Carrick - Kaka - Rooney
Tevez - Berbatov

Kaka may just be a dream but you get my drift.

It's probably a small consolation, but I think we would have lost if we played Chelsea. Simply, Barca were hungrier than we were, and Chelsea would have been the same. In the end, I'd rather lose to Barca.

When clubs get to this level, it just comes down to desire. We won it last season, and whilst our boys wearn't complacent or lazy, it's just Barca had that little extra desire to drive them on.

O'Shea has been solid this season. Like previous boo-boys like Fletcher and Brown, he's had his season where he's done his job. I can't remember any obvious errors from him.

Speaking of Fletcher, we missed him this morning. It's funny - just a few years ago, nobody would ever have thought we'd miss him in a European final.

We just didn't recover from that early goal. Got completely outplayed and got passed off the park.

But overall the season has been excellent despite not playing the free-flowing football like last season. If you gave me the League title, UCL final appearance, World Club Championships and the Mickey Mouse Cup I would've bitten your hands off.

We'll keep the Red Flag flying high! :thumbsu:

Gee, some class from the 11 year old Liverpool supporters

Yay! Lets celebrate winning nothing because our rivals lost!!111one!!1

Go back to Bay 13 you ********s.

I'd expect that from Sunderland, who apparently were delighted about coming 16th because we went down.

In fact, most of them would've preferred to come 16th and us go down, than for them to come 7th and us come 17th. Now that's small time!

There was some very good football played by our second string side agaisnt Hull. Wouldnt mind seeing some of those get some more gametime next year in place of Giggs/Scholes...

Wellback, Macheda, Gibson...

Will have Evans on the improve, Fletcher and Hargraves available.

Hopefully Nani stays as well as Tevez and get more game time...

Rafael and his bro...

Some experienced and young talent there...

Obviously Ronaldo and Tevez will be a? Who do we buy if they stay, who do we move on?

Let the transfer rumours begin :thumbsu:

My god Barca was brilliant.

Absolutely sensational and my man Xavi had to tear us apart.:(

The lads out there knew that anything they tried wasnt going to be enough, Barca was switched on and were the superior team. It was more of a "ah well, **** it" attitude from all the Man Utd players and staff after the game..

With the benefit of hindsight, the lineup was not great. Not sure why Anderson ahead of Scholes, maybe for his tracking/tackling?? And I know it worked against Arsenal, but that system of Ronnie up front and Rooney on the left etc, was terrible this morning. As I said, hindsight and all that, but would like to have seen what would have transpired with Rooney and Tevez/Berbatov as strikers and Ronnie/Giggs wingers with Scholes/Carrick CM. Sure, they may have bossed the midfield area, but they pretty much did that anyway.

But, 3 or 4 months ago, if you had given me the choice of winning the league and losing the CL, I would have taken it, still, no less disappointing.

And to the scousers lording it up, really, pathetic does not even sum it up fully really. 'Did you enjoy that?', what an absolute knob. Did YOu enjoy seeing us equal your league titles record...answer the question, DID YOU?

It's funny and sad at the same time. Over the years, the Liverpool fans have bagged the Everton ones for being bitter, laughed at their lack of success, telling them to know their place, and abused them for laughing at Liverpool's failures. But of course, it's a different rule when they want to have a go at United. Still, we shouldn't be surprised - Liverpool fans have form when it comes to hypocrisy.

The other thing is that there seems to have been quite a bit of mutual respect between United and Barca fans here. I think nearly all of us United fans acknowledge that Barca were by far, the better team and they deserved their success. The Barca fans have been very gracious winners. Even last year, as gut wrenching as it would have been for them, a few Chelsea fans offered their congratulations to United fans.

I know there is a vicious rivalry between United and Liverpool, and heck, I can understand how they feel about this morning. But I had to laugh when one of the Liverpool fans posted about the lack of class by United fans - obviously the bloke doesn't look in the mirror when it comes to posts by the Liverpool fans.

Nothing surprises me with Scousers tbh.

And as you say, most United fans will be the first to say that we got well and truly beaten by a very good team this morning. No shame in it, just disappointment really.

That's the thing, it's hindsight. What if we got a goal after our first ten minutes? We may have gone on to win and Fergie would have been hailed a genius.

I think most of us understand that Fergie isn't a great tactician. To me, he's more of a gambler, willing to take a risk to get 3 points or to win a Cup tie. His brilliance is his strategic vision. We fought a campaign on five fronts including that World Club Championship. To get so far in so many competitions is a credit to Fergie.

No shame in it, just disappointment really.

If the biggest disappointment we have to face at the end of the season is finishing with only the Premier League trophy, then we're doing fine.

The way the scousers have whinged and whined after we won the title, those bastards have no idea of what disappointment is. Disappointment is what happened to the West Brom, Boro, and Newcastle fans. We are just ****ing lucky to follow a side that has enjoyed a ridiculous amount of success in the last 15 odd years. Never forget that we had our title drought (and got relegated in the process), and the day will come when the drought returns. Just enjoy the success while it lasts, and never get the "entitlement syndrome" that affects Liverpool fans.

Amen :thumbsu:

I certainly don't have the entitlement syndrome (if that was directed at me), but that does not stop the disappointment. Remember, we are not used to losing in European finals, it is a new feeling to come to terms with. But as i said previously, what a great season, with some memorable games, trophies to lift again, 18, and the second best team in Europe behind a pretty 'fair' side :)
