Havent seen any of its form this year, but going on its finish last year would do well to have some on a place i reckon. Might add it into my trifecta's as well. But Tawqeet for mine looks the goods.

on a jeune last run was sensational, flashed home looking for the distance and is primed. will slip under the radar again and be at odds

Slip under the radar - It wont he geelong cup last year, whilst this year its prep has been nothing short of dissapointing, hus a chance but at only $15 it wont get my money.

Tawqeet. Backed him after his Metro win. Wouldn't swap him for anything else. :)

Talkling about the Metrop. Tawqeet did win, but the horse that came home the better was Activation, and it was three wide the whole way. Lost half a length

Then talk about the CC and anyone with half a brain will tell you Activation wouldve won if it stayed on the rails where it was. It lost 4-5 lengths by switching out and still only lost by 1 and a quarter.

Only querie is the trip, but for mine ill be on Activation again. 5's for Tawqeet seems to short for mine.

I'm never confident on Activation at group 1 level. he was entitled to win Caulfield cup- loomed up but couldn't do it.
And I just don't think he's a 3200 horse.

And as for Tawqeet, you can't knock winning form. But I think if Yeats can handle the way we race here it will absolutely brain them. It has to be the weakest field in a while...I just hope international wins.

I'm always wary of these horses that think they can win without having a prior run. Also Aiden O'Brien has opted not to travel out here, seems a bit strange to me.

Whilst I agree it is a weaker field, I still think that one of our horses will win it.

i agree winning form is good form but looking at tawqeet it has had 2 very good rides and only just won. id prefer activation of the two but my money will be on yeats. best horse in the race and its the same as last year people are worried about the weight, this horse will brain them if it gets a good run in the race.

It was Eye Popper you backed last year Deej :D

I like a trifecta of Activation, Tawqeet, and a spud thats paying $20 for the place but seems to get in there

Should've would've could've. Tawqeet's run in the CC was superb. Had to come out and underneath Sphenophyta, lost momentum, got held up again before finally forcing his way through with 50m to go. He was finishing better then anything in the field, getting warmed up when it was all over. Activation did not lose 4-5 lenghts by switching to the outside maybe a couple of lengths that's all. He had his chance to win but didn't go on with it, simply was not good enough. Saying he should've won if he stayed on the rails is bull 5hit. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Tawqeet a querie at the trip? I hope that is joke. He will run 3200 no worries. What you have to keep in mind is that Tawqeet has been set for the Melbourne Cup. Dwayne Dunn has said that he was 70% fit for the Metro and 80% for the CC. Might explain why Activation got so close to him in the Metro. He will be primed come cup day.

Your right about the 5's it is a little short for me. Only because i have backed him at 14's. :p

Tawqeet 2 Activation 0

I think he meant Activation is a query at the trip.

Aiden O'Brien will be here after the Breeders Cup.Ive no idea with Yeats but I think its fantastic to have one of the worlds best trainers with a runner.

Kinda hoping he runs well, the Race is better for his input.
Ive got no issue with the internationals, after all they pay their own way.

Mmm,missed that one.

Thats very interesting,as it says O'Brien is known to be very hands on.
Gotta wonder if that might make a difference on the day, horse will have never seen anything like the atmosphere.
Plenty have completely fizzed up in the yard, not just the o/s horses.
Anyone see Mr Celebrity last year?

box up tawqeet, yeats, pop rock and on a jeune. dont be sucked in by any williams hype in the week, zipping or actication will not win.
Thats one of mine as well...but starting to walk away from Yeats...woulda thought the trainer would have been here to collect the Cup if he was confident.

Probably chase a lot of Tris this year instead of picking one winner..though I do like Tawqeet...but Delta Blues is itching the brain.

Tawqeet
Delta Blue
Pop Rocks
On A Jeune
Yeats

And a few of the lightweights

Tawqeet 2 Activation 0

Well put. I read every word of what you said Helmie, but they pay at the winning post, and Activation is yet to beat Tawqeet there.

Tawqeet - Not convicned, don't know why, just am not.

Pop Rock - Repeat of the Eye Popper last year?
Activation - Group 2 horse...Tawqeet looks better and I am not conivinced on it, could've had the same run as Tawqeet in the CC but couldn't go?
Railings - Will probably struggle for the last 1000, a slow pace will suit.
Yeats - Should win. Classiest horse there.
Delta Blues - Under-rated, could easily run a place.
Our Smoking Joe - Who knows? Had a good run in the CC, leading up well must run top 3 whole way.
SPHENOPHYTA - Jeez after all the publicity a few weeks this guy has definatley drifted, won't get there but still amazed that it has been kept under the $30...could run a place.
Dizelle - **** run in CC imo...not happy with it's run..may suprise.
ON A JEUNE - Dud :p no chance.

Early tips

Box Quinella

Phyta, Activation, Yeats, Tawqeet, Delta Blues

Value Bet

Sphenophyta - each way bet.

My winner

Yeats from Delta Blues.

Tawqeet 2 Activation 0

Activation the querie over the trip buddy.

Expertform analysis - TAWQEET AQUA D'AMORE DELTA BLUES midfield rail 5L off even tempo, switched off rail and came out 5-6W home turn (Tawqeet happily took his vacated rails run), battled on well down outside, peaked on line - definitely wins if stays on fence.

Also he crossed over three horses and then had to run on again, 4 lengths easily lost.
