The other issue with Murphy is that he is currently contracted which means that the Dockers have bargaining power with him. Next season, he could well use the PSD and shaft us buy going to Richmond. From how I understand it, this season we have the power to keep him if a reasonable trade doesn't come up.
Having said all that, if he's committed to Freo then we should be committed to him. He's more athletic and versatile that he has shown so far I reckon. There is no way he will ever be an AA, he just doesn't work hard enough in games for that, but as a significant target up forward that can work up the ground when needed, then he has great potential - potential that has to be seen very soon though if keeping him is going to seem worth it.
