Pierce took Lebron to the cleaners tonight :D :D

Should be another great classic playoff series between the two teams in the East Confrence Finals IMHO ..
Interesting to note now that the home team has won the last 15 meetings between the Celtics and Cavs, which makes today's result even more crucial and why winning the no 1 seed in the east is more pivotal then ever ...

Can't speak highly enough of Leon Powe's game today either, he was a great contributor off the bnech, with 20 points and 11 rebounds in 26 minutes ..
yeah he did. LeBron didnt play that well really. Pierce was awesome.
Good to see Stephon playing as well

Pierce is such an underrated defender. One on one he is an absolute lockdown guy, even against the very best. I am so ****ing sick of him not getting calls around the rim, it's becoming a joke. Most of the time he still scores, but he is just getting r*ped in there for nothing. If he scores 15 points against the Magic on our Monday, he becomes the Celtics 3rd highest scorer of all-time, behind only Bird and Hondo. He is a legend of the club, and of the NBA.

I agree Pierce is a great defender, only thing that I don't like is his tendency to flop. I think he has gotten a bit better though recently. Other than that I can't fault him.

as have Utah. 11 straight for them and most importantly finally winning games away from home.

Good to beat a very depleated Boston today.

Yeah Utah and NOH are the in form teams right now. I still think NOH will get the second seed in the west provided Chandler stays healthy.

i do believe Orlando beat Boston and Utah beat Toronto. I should know since Boston screwed my multi :(

No Rondo and still no Garnett. Our assist count was 10 (for the whole team) without Rondo.

Tough loss but not sure it means much unless Garnett & Rondo are permanently stuffed.

i had a bad feeling b4 i laid the bet that Howard may have a big game and Boston would struggle to contain him without KG. I forgot Rondo rolled his ankle the other day but he came back on so i thought he would be fine.

In many ways Rondo's loss hurts more then KG, cause at least we had other big bodies like Big Baby and Leon Powe and Mikki Moore to fill the void.

Sadly Marbury just couldn't cut it today filling Rondo's shoes, but well played to Orlando anyway, ridiculous to think that 3 teams in the east could still win the no 1 seed, whereas it's all over red rover in the West.

it will take a while for Marbury to adapt to the Boston style. Once he does he will be the best PG off the bench in the league. Hasnt played til he got in Boston so give him time.
