Good to see Rose keeping the legacy of the crab dribble alive.
n00b question, but what is wrong with that play? Could you please explain to me what the crap dribble is?

He takes his final dribble, takes one step and then comes to a jumpstop. So three steps instead of two. Rose's probably wasn't as bad as LeTravels efforts, but it's still a travel.

I wouldnt call the Rose one BUT the Lebron one was definitely travel.

They're both definitely travels. Rose's is a little more subtle though.

ROSE LEADING LEAGUE IN TOTAL POINTS + ASSISTS + REBOUNDS

Is also on pace to become only the 2nd guard under 6"3 in 30 years to jack up more than 22 shots per game. And Iverson never even pretended to be a point guard, so we can safely say Rose is the first "point guard" in 30 years to jack up 22 shots/game.

I didnt say it wasnt a travel. It was. But I said I wouldnt call it. To the naked eye it looks fine. You can only pick up the extra step in slow-mo. Cant remember which NBA player was arguing that steps is a "rythem thang".

I have more problems with the refs allowing players about 4 small steps before they establish their pivot foot.

As for Rose, records are made to be broken;) He can keep jacking them up if he keeps hitting them and they keep winning.

Yes, what's your point

It looks like this squad is going nowhere so it's time to blow it up, try to shift Jack and/or Crash to someone who could use them and rebuild. Last year just gave false hope it seems.

I would like to gauge the value of Gerald Wallace, is he worth as much as an Iguodala?

His contract is smaller by almost $25M - that's good.
He has a much worse injury history - that's bad.
His best is clearly better than Iggy's - that's good.
His best seems to be well behind him - that's bad.
etc...

The problem with either guy is that on a good team they'd be playing the role of players usually earning 2-4M/year. And really, can you think of a single team who would improve markedly with Crash or Iggy? They're fun players to watch (moreso Wallace than Iggy), but I'm not sure either is tradeable for anything other than cap space. And even then, I'm not sure there'd be a lot of teams willing to give up cap space for them.

So which one was it?

A stud????? Hardly. He is a flat track bully. Only decent games have come against smaller frontlines.

The injured star theory in gambling is when the superstar player is out (Derrick Rose) that his teamates step up and rally. Now if you have a ref that totally goes along with this theory, then, you will win nearly 75% of the time if you get a ref like Scott Foster involved. (The Bulls did have a season high 35 Free Throw Attempts)

One step into a jumpstop is not a travel.

Rose's effort was maybe, just about, probably, close enough to a jumpstop by NBA standards.

Shit, Google tells me you're right.... I was always taught as a kid that your last dribble into a jumpstop had to be in sync with your foot.

Mind assplode...
