In what way is Teague a better fit though? I don't understand.

I understand wanting to move Rubio. Ricky/Wiggins/Butler/Dieng would give me a nervous breakdown. Teague doesn't really fix those issues though, especially at the price we're paying - more than we had Rubio signed for.
Our need for spot up shooting has been apparent for a while. I think thibs plan is to play his style. Which is a lot mote ice defense. And similar thing offense. Which means dudes playing offense and contributing without the ball and in iso situationa. Teague is a lot better then that at Rubio. I can see why. Not saying i disagree. If this is true i dont reqlly want teague as our dominant ball handler.

Edit. Just saw the apparent dollar figure. Dry gagged a little bit.

Sixers bringing over their 1st round pick, Furkan Korkmaz, the Sixers are paying 600k of his buy out and he's paying 1.3mil of his own money. The situation in Turkey must be pretty shitty to want to get out that bad, Dario left a lot of money on the table to get out of there too.

He had to flee the Rebel Alliance

Cavs were lucky Irving hit that 3 pointer in the Finals last year
Cavs were lucky LeBron made that block
Cavs were lucky Kevin Love played great defense on Curry
Cavs were lucky the Warriors didn't score more points than they did in game 7 to win the championship

Etc etc etc

Why does Ainge have to decide a clear path? Because you said so?

Because he'll end up playing a zero sum game against himself.

Part of the reason for trading down was so that you save around $1.3 mil on the rookie contract to alleviate cap pressure when/if you sign Hayward. Having all these future assets are great, but they become less valuable if you're on a cap squeeze with limited roster space.

Too much juggling, like what you do with Zizic and Yabusele for one, to make it work in its most utopic form. Doesn't mean that it'll all go belly up, but it could be the difference in winning a ring.
